The hit drama "The Way I Live" aired from January 2003, and told the moving story of one man who tried to reshape his life after learning that he only had a year left to live. A year later, a new heart-warming drama is about to begin. The theme of "The Way We Live" is the "bonds between people": the ties that cannot be broken or jeopardized. Traditionally, the bonds of marriage and bonds between families were strong and secure. But in society today, the increasing number of divorces and cases of child abuse are testing these bonds.
Tetsuro Koyanagi (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) loses his wife one day when she decides to divorce him. She leaves their young, first-grade daughter, Rin (Karen Miyama) behind. Tetsuro has to learn how to be a father again despite his busy work, with the help of Rin's English tutor, Yura Kitajima (Koyuki). The characters of "The Way We Live" question themselves about the meaning of bonds, love, life, and happiness.

Eiryo Waga (Masahiro Nakai) is a well-known musician. As a composer and pianist, he has begun a rapid climb to stardom. But he must keep his terrible past a secret. One day someone who knows all about his past, Kenichi Miki (Hidekazu Akai), appears before him. In order to protect the fame he has obtained, Waga kills Miki. Immediately after that, Waga runs into Asami Naruse (Yasuko Matsuyuki). He manages to pull himself together and leave the scene.
An investigation team is established led by two detectives Shuichiro Imanishi (Ken Watanabe) and Masaya Yoshimura (Masaru Nagai), but they have difficulty making any headway. Meanwhile, by coincidence Waga bumps into Asami again. Asami is a stage actress and has her own dark past. Soon the two fall in love. But Waga is already engaged to Ayaka Tadokoro (Kotomi Kyono). It was with her father's help that Waga began his ascend to the top of the music world. It looks like Waga's ambitions are about to confront reality. However....
Based on Seicho Matsumoto's famous work that was released in 1960-61, the drama illustrates the life of a man burdened with a heavy fate in a contemporary setting.

Kedua2 citer ni bukanlah dari jenis yg happy-go-lucky, gila2 atau light-hearted...tapi walaupun The Way We Live a heavy family dorama, tapi citernya memang heartwarming, sort of like Hotman (kalau Note: Citer ni bukan kesinambungan The Way I Live (tagged Dorama of the Year in 2003) walaupun menggunakan tajuk yg hampir sama dan pelakon yg sama (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi). The Way I Live dah ada kat pasaran menggunakan tajuk My Living Secret.
P/S: Kalau dah ada kat pasaran, kedua2 dorama ni mungkin menggunakan tajuk English yg lain...kalau kEk_KeL@d| minat jenis2 dorama yg heavy, cuba2lah tanya pekedai tu pasal latest dorama in 2004...
