Akademi Fantasia 3 champion Asmawi Ani, better known as Mawi, continued his winning streak by taking home the Most Popular Artiste award at the Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian tonight.
He also grabbed the Popular Male Artiste and Popular New Male Artiste awards at the star-studded night at the Arena of Stars here.
Mawi drove home a Kia Optima worth RM125,000, jewellery, a holiday package and RM6,000.
Siti Nurhaliza was voted the Most Popular Female Singer.
Five-time winner of the Most Popular Actress award Erra Fazira, however, lost her title to Maya Karin (the lead actress in Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam).
Composer Datuk Ahmad Nawab was honoured with the Anugerah Khas Berita Harian for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
The ABPBH, which honoured artistes in 17 categories, was hosted by two TV personalities, Raja Azura and Sharifah Shahira.
Other highlights included a skit featuring the who?s who in the film scene, in the opening segment.
The act, titled "Diva Popular", featuring Azean Irdawaty, Umie Aida, Ezlynn, Sheila Rusly, M. Rajoli and Adflin Shauki, was inspired by a comedy of the same title directed by Erma Fatima.
Anita Sarawak rocked the house with her rendition of Tina Turner?s Proud Mary while Malaysian Idol 1 champion Jaclyn Victor sang a string of Ahmad Nawab?s hits. Each winner received a trophy and RM3,000 (solo) and RM5,000 (duo/group).

THE matching colour in the outfits worn by singer Siti Nurhaliza and businessman Datuk Khalid Muhd Jiwa during a charity event in Kuala Lumpur has rekindled speculation that they are more than friends.
In a front-page report, Harian Metro said Siti looked radiant in a purple gown with purple orchids in her hair while Ace Group chairman Khalid looked smart in a purple batik shirt.
When Siti rendered the Anneke Gronloh classic Asmara on stage, it further fuelled the conviction among the audience that the 27-year-old pop princess had been bitten by the love bug.
Over the past year there had been much talk of Siti being romantically linked with a certain ?Datuk K? and the charity event at the Putra World Trade Centre on Wednesday night was seen as an opportunity for the press to get the singer and Khalid to confirm if the speculation about them was true.
However, the press did not get any answers. Both said they were at the function merely to lend support to the charity event, Malam Amal Kasih.
