[Tempatan] Samsubahrin suruh SPAD Saman pelanggan GRAB/UBER

KUALA LUMPUR: After more than two years of criticising Uber and Grab, then backing out of an MoU with the former last month, Shamsubahrin Ismail is now going after passengers of the ride-sharing services.
The Big Blue Taxi Services founder today said the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) should stop the demand that had helped Uber and Grab’s services to thrive.
“Uber and Grab passengers spur such services to flourish and by imposing a fine on their customers, it would be another way to discourage the people from relying on such services.
“If no one is calling them (for a ride), they won’t be operating so aggressively,” he told reporters at a press conference held at Suria KLCC here today.
He blamed the public for creating the current “mess” revolving around the ride-sharing service, SPAD, and the taxi industry.
“They (public) know Uber and Grab is illegal and they should follow the law.”

Shamsubahrin went on to claim that even the authorities in Singapore had taken action against Grab and Uber passengers.
He trained his guns on building mall operators and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) for now allowing or encouraging the two companies to operate in its vicinities.
“This is also wrong. We put in a lot of effort and investment but we are not taken seriously.”
He urged SPAD to come up with new regulations for malls and MAHB, which he described as “asset owners”, but did not elaborate on the details of the regulations he sought.
Shamsubahrin’s outburst today is the latest in his long tirade against the two ride-sharing companies.
He had previously labelled Grab and Uber drivers as “illegal taxi drivers” and last year claimed that the ride-sharing services would “kill” the taxi industry.
Shamsubahrin in April 2016 also claimed that the two operators were running what he deemed to be a money-laundering scheme, and urged Bank Negara to investigate the firms under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

dia yang kena convicted money laundering dulu duk kata UBER/GRAB yg ada AMLA....hanya jauhari mengenal manikam kan?.....

Dear Encik Shamsubahrin Ismail,

I read in the news that you are urging the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) to start imposing fines on customers of Uber and Grab as a way to discourage people from relying on such ride-sharing services.

I realise you have good intentions as you are merely trying to save the taxi industry from being killed off by Uber and Grab.

As a consumer who has used both services, I would like to explain why I would still prefer the ride-sharing services even if SPAD decides to impose a fine on me as proposed by your goodself.

  • First of all, many taxi drivers are rude. They smoke while driving. They spit out of the window while driving. They treat customers like idiots. They curse other road users while driving. They flash rude hand gestures to others while driving. They switch lanes recklessly. And when they don’t, they plod along like a buffalo pulling a heavy cart.
  • Many taxis are in a dilapidated state. The seats are shabby and smelly. The vehicles squeak as they make their way down the road, making one worry if they are even roadworthy to begin with.
  • Many taxi drivers are unhygienic. Some leave bottles of yellow-coloured liquid rolling around inside the vehicle. Most taxis smell of pee.
  • Many taxi drivers refuse to use the meter. In turn, they overcharge. So if you are desperate enough to get to your appointment on time, you have to part with huge chunks of money. Before Uber and Grab came on the scene, it was common to see passengers walking from taxi to taxi begging to be taken to a particular destination. For some reason, taxi drivers would flat refuse to budge if they didn’t like the area you were headed to.

The truth is, Encik Shamsubahrin, when I ride with Uber or Grab, my journey is usually pleasant. Even old, small cars are well-maintained and offer a comfortable ride. The drivers are very polite and mindful of the customers – they check if the customer is comfortable with the air-conditioning level and music volume. The drivers are friendly and helpful – many times they’ve helped me carry my grocery bags to the apartment lift. The drivers neither speed nor smoke in the car or text while driving.

Today, I no longer take taxis, not if I have an option to ride with Uber or Grab. I am sorry to be the one to break it to you, but I am not alone.

There are many like me who support Uber and Grab – not because it is trendy but simply because we have had enough of taxi drivers and the heartaches they’ve caused us. Even during peak hours when the ride-sharing services become expensive, many are still willing to choose Uber or Grab.
Encik Shamsubahrin Ismail, if you are serious about saving the taxi industry, I suggest you stop blaming passengers and start winning us over instead.
In order to regain our support, I advise you and all taxi drivers in Malaysia to ride with Uber or Grab for one month and note some points on how to improve your service.
Insya Allah, if you are willing to do that, there may still be a chance to save the taxi industry. But rest assured, winning our support back, is not going to be an easy road.

Good luck.

who r  yuuu DATO SAMSUBAHRIN ISMAIL??

1. Menipu pemandu teksi sejumlah RM90,000 untuk melabur di dalam syarikat yang tidak wujud dan;

2. Menipu seorang wanita sebanyak RM13,0000 untuk perkhidmatan pembantu rumah.
Orang sebeginikah yang layak untuk mendesak orang lain MELETAK JAWATAN?

Ex-NFCorp consultant gets 73 years’ jail for cheating, money-laundering - See more at: http://www.themalaymailonline.co ... ng-money-laundering

KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 — Datuk Shamsubahrin Ismail was sentenced today to a total of 73 years’ jail for money-laundering and cheating National Feedlot Corporation (NFCorp) executive chairman executive chairman Datuk Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail while acting as the firm’s consultant.

Sessions Court judge Rozilah Salleh meted out a total of 37 years and four strokes of the cane over five counts of cheating, and a total 36 years and six months for 17 count of money laundering.

But the judge said that the sentences will run concurrently.

“The jail sentence for Section 417 and Section 420 of the Penal Code and also the AMLATFA (Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act) will be carried out concurrently,” she said this afternoon, having delivered a guilty verdict this morning after finding the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt.

A concurrent jail sentence means that Shamsubahrin would only be imprisoned for the maximum term that was imposed by Rozilah, which is eight years.

The judge also imposed a penalty of RM611,895.94 with the payment deadline expiring in three months’ time.

She allowed Shamsubahrin to be released on bail with a guarantor with another RM50,000 to be paid by noon tomorrow, on top of the existing bail amount of RM300,000 that was already paid.

Hasnal Rezua Merican, one of the lawyers for Shamsubahrin, confirmed that his client will appeal against the Sessions Court’s decision.

The prosecution was represented by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) prosecutor Datuk Abdul Razak Musa and government lawyer Robert Pasang Alam for the cheating and money laundering cases respectively.

Shamsubahrin was charged on December 30, 2011, with five counts of cheating Mohamad Salleh of RM1.75 million.

According to the charge, the businessman had allegedly misled Mohamad into paying him a consultancy fee of RM2.75 million after telling the victim that he had been asked by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to offer advisory services.

He was also charged on June 18, 2012, with 17 counts of money laundering.

NFCorp was previously given a RM250 million federal loan for a cattle farming project, the National Feedlot Centre, that later featured in the Auditor-General’s annual report for 2010 over irregularities found.
