utk tgk astro ngan gambar jelas guna lcd tv...cuma tukar audio visual connector cable (yg warna putih merah kuning) kepada S-Video connector cable, kalau nak best lagi guna astro max yg support HDMI cable...fuh lg best...

rasanya xde kena mengena ngan contrast ratio...lebih tinggi lebih cantik image....quality image bergantung pada reception image yg ditransfer ke lcd tv kita
biasa nya lcd tv support High Definition Multimedia Interface(HDMI) maknanya quality image dlm bentuk digital
kalau kita still guna cable merah putih kuning yg quality image bentuk analog utk lcd tv mmg la x clear gambarnye...

hi, again...all,
seems like everyone has his/her own arguments over which is the better between lcd  and plasma tvs.

i can say one thing...for the best picture quality (at the same resolution of 1920 X 1080), stick with plasma. However, be very careful to break-in the plasma first, and do be careful in the way you use it later.

for those who prefer a durable and longer lasting set without burn-in issues (and can be use to play games/for pc use/day to day tv viewing), lcd is the choice.

personally, i'll stick with lcd as the burn-in problem is a very big issue and the heat output is quite high compared to lcd.

i use my lcd with my pc to enjoy (full) hd (at 1920 X 1080 resolution) viewing for movies/documentary/for demo/live performances/games over 5 hours at one go without fear of burn-in.

Of course,i cannot do the the same with plasma tv.

An advice for those about to purchase whether lcd/plasma...if possible at all try to buy those with hd output at 1920 X 1080. This is so that you don't have to spend more to upgrade if you bought one with 1366 X 768 resolution. Besides if you are going to watch 1920 X 1080 videos on a lower resolution set, there will a slight re-scaling artifacting. Minimum size will be 42" (viewing from about 3 to 4 feet from the screen). If seat is 8 to 9 feet away, go with 50" or 65" if your budget allows. These flat panel stuff isn't cheap.

Not necessary to get 1080p/60(fps). 1080i/60 is actually enough. Besides there is no hd broadcast in the world supporting 1080p/60. Just a marketing gimmick.
if you decide to stick to 1080p/60, make sure the set supports 3/2 pulldown properly. Even hd movies are encoded at 24p/30p.
Else there will be horrible motion judder even on a 1080p/60 when viewing various content where the frame rate isn't fixed (from video to video).

Hope this little information help you guys out in deciding what to buy.

Cheers,

Bape harga LCD TV kat M'sia ??

Nak tanya sesape yg arif pasal LCD TV nih. Kat M'sia sekarang ni, harga LCD TV around bape RM eh ? Contoh kalau LCD TV Samsung 19", kat sini (Australia), hari tu Alana tengok kat Harvey Norman ada sales dlm AUD400 (RM1200), Samsung 26" AUD 800 (RM2400). Kalau compare dgn harga kat M'sia, kira murah ke tu ? Alana pun dah lama tak balik M'sia nih, tak tau laa kat M'sia berapa harga LCD TV. Ingat kalo murah giler2, dan berbaloi, bleh le angkat satu bila nk balik for good nanti.

Sesape yg tahu pasal ni, harap dpt share info yek. Thanks.

adakah svideo cable tu cuma yang ada satu berpin (either 4 atau 7) dan kat hujung berkaler kuning, atau ada yang berpin dengan kat hujung ada merah, kuning, putih?

thanks for your help

so is there any quality differences between composite and svideo on your lcd tv?

i am currently using my bro's s-video cable of his desktop graphic card, no difference at all. i am planning to buy a new one, specifically for lcd tv at tv shop soon. but i still dont know, either to get cable with svideo pin connector at both ends or svideo with 3 composite connectors at the other end?
