But will her old life ever catch up with her? And if it does厀ill she want it back?

The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic
(Confessions Of A Shopaholic)
(The first book in the Shopaholic series)
(2000)
Meet Rebecca Bloomwood.
She's a journalist. She spends her working life telling others how to manage their money. She spends her leisure time...shopping.

Retail therapy is the answer to all her problems. She knows she should stop, but she can't. She tries Cutting Back, she tries Making More Money. But neither seems to work. The stories she concocts become more and more fantastic as she tries to untangle her increasingly dire financial difficulties. Her only comfort is to buy herself something - just a little something...

Can Becky ever escape from this dream world, find true love, and regain the use of her Switch card?

The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic...

The perfect pick me up for when it's all hanging in the (bank) balance.

Shopaholic Abroad
(Shopaholic Takes Manhattan)
(The second book in the Shopaholic series)
(2001)
This expensive, glossy world is where I抳e been headed all along. Limos and flowers; waxed eyebrows and designer clothes from Barneys. These are my people; this is where I抦 meant to be.
朆ecky Bloomwood

Universally beloved by readers, Sophie Kinsella抯 national bestseller, Confessions of a Shopaholic, introduced the irrepressible one-woman shopping phenomenon, Becky Bloomwood. Now, in this hilarious follow-up, Becky and her credit cards are headed across the Atlantic....

With her shopping excesses (somewhat) in check and her career as a TV financial guru thriving, Becky抯 biggest problem seems to be tearing her entrepreneur boyfriend, Luke, away from work for a romantic country weekend. And worse, figuring out how to 損ack light. But packing takes on a whole new meaning when Luke announces he抯 moving to New York for business朼nd he asks Becky to go with him!

Before you can say 揚rada sample sale, Becky has landed in the Big Apple, home of Park Avenue penthouses and luxury department stores.

Surely it抯 only a matter of time until she becomes an American TV celebrity, and she and Luke are the toast of Gotham society. Nothing can stand in their way, especially with Becky抯 bills miles away in London.

But then an unexpected disaster threatens her career prospects, her relationship with Luke, and her available credit line! Shopaholic Takes Manhattan朾ut will she have to return it?

Shopaholic Ties the Knot
(The third book in the Shopaholic series)
(2002)
Rebecca Bloomwood has the dream job. She's a personal shopper, so is able to spend other people's money all day instead of her own. And she gets paid for doing it. The perfect job, the perfect man - gorgeous Luke Brandon - and now... the perfect wedding. Yes, Luke has proposed and wedding bells are in sight. No excuses are needed to start the shopping trip of all time. And Becky's parents are just assuming that the wedding will be at home - a marquee in the garden and Becky in her mum's wedding dress, which she's been saving specially for the occasion. But Luke's mother has very different ideas - a huge affair in New York in a forest glade setting - or perhaps a Venetian Ball, or a fin de siecle extravagance? Now Becky's getting confused. She doesn't want to say 'no' to anyone. The plans are going ahead, and soon it will be too late to turn back - from either wedding...

Shopaholic and Sister
(The fourth book in the Shopaholic series)
(2004)
Rebecca Bloomwood is now happily married to Luke Brandon, and all her problems seem to be at an end. But suddenly into her life steps...a sister, of whose existence Becky had hitherto been completely unaware. Becky is only too anxious to welcome her into the bosom of the family. But there is only one snag - she HATES shopping. She is the antithesis of the shopaholic. It all makes for some very difficult family relationships...
From the Inside Flap
Becky Bloomwood thought being married to Luke Brandon would be one big Tiffany box of happiness. But to be honest, it's not quite as dreamy as she抎 hoped. The trouble started on honeymoon, when she told Luke the tiniest little fib, about the teeniest little purchase. Now she's on a strict budget, she doesn't have a job, and, worst of all, her beloved Suze has a new best friend. She's feeling rather blue - when she gets the biggest shock of her life. She has a long-lost sister!

Becky has never been more excited. Finally, a real sister! They'll have so much in common! They can go shopping together. . . choose shoes together. . . have manicures together. . .

Until she meets her - and makes a dreadful discovery. It can't be true. Surely Becky Bloomwood's long-lost sister can't. hate shopping?

A sister. A soulmate. A skinflint?

Shopaholic Boxed Set
(A book in the Shopaholic series)
(2004)

Can You Keep a Secret?
Novel (2003)
Emma is sitting on a turbulent plane. She's always been a v. nervous flyer. She really thinks that this could be her last moment. So, naturally enough, she starts telling the man sitting next to her - quite a dishy American, but she's too frightened to notice -all her innermost secrets. How she scans the backs of intellectual books and pretends she's read them. How she does her hair up like Princess Leia in her bedroom. How she's not sure if she has a G-spot, and whether her boyfriend could find it anyway. How she feels like a fraud at work - everyone uses the word 'operational' all the time but she hasn't a due what it means. How the coffee at work is horrible. How she once threw a troublesome client file in the bin. If ever there was a bare soul, it's hers. She survives the flight, of course, and the next morning the famous founding boss of the whole mega corporation she works for is coming for a look at the UK branch. As he walks around, Emma looks up and realises... It's the man from the plane. What will he do with her secrets? He knows them all - but she doesn't know a single one of his. Or... does she?

Girls Night in
(2004)
A collection of stories by
Meg Cabot, Sophie Kinsella and Jen Weiner
From Publishers Weekly
The third installment (the first to be published in the U.S.) in a British-originated series, this uneven anthology of stories by chick lit's bright lights showcases some engaging voices. Many of the selections, however, lack focus and shape, and while most begin energetically, more than a few fizzle before ending abruptly. Notable exceptions include "Cat Lady" by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez (The Dirty Girls Social Club), in which a woman trying to embrace her inner spinster ("Dear self: If you are still single and haven't had one good date in the preceding two years... ave yourself a future of humiliation and too much makeup and realize one important truth: You are now a cat lady") finds unexpected romance. In "New York" by Jill A. Davis (Girls' Poker Night), a woman recovering from a breakdown finds her niche and a second chance for success in magazine publishing. Premonitions by a psychic roommate in "Know it All" by Sarah Mlynowski (Milkrun) help the story's narrator finally make a decision regarding her on-again off-again boyfriend. Some big names disappoint, including Jennifer Weiner (Good in Bed) and Anna Maxted (Running in Heels). The anthology supports an excellent cause梐 percentage of the proceeds go to the humanitarian organization War Child梑ut it's not consistently gratifying as entertainment.

Sophie Kinsella? My first introduction to chic lits.. I think her books makes chic lits genre very very famous. Dah baca semua buku Shoapholic Seriesnya: Confession of A shopaholic, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, Shopaholic Ties The Knot dah Shopaholic and Sister.. yang saya rasa paling best, mungkin buku Shopaholic and Sister sebab ianya menunjukkan the other side of Becky Bloomwood (the heroin), maknanya dunai dia bukan hanya bershopping shj, tapi dlm buku ni nampak Becky has a much softer side, human side. Saya suka juga 3 bukunya tu, tapi bagi saya terasa terlampau sangat cara Becky tu belanja... tak kena je dengan saya.

Buku Can You Keep A Secret tu pun best sgt... Ada filem diadaptasi dari buku ni, tengah dalam production, yang memegang watak Emma Corrigan (heroin) adalah Kate Hudson. I think it is a perfect choice, mmg saya bayangkan Emma tu muka macam Kate Hudson. Mmg terharu sgt.
