Malaysia pun guna fuel oil juga for electric dari dulu lagi. Lagi besar % dari Sri Lanka. Tu sebab OnG workers masyukkkkkk..exploration exploration..cuma sekarang like most good things akan habis juga, so derang import arang batu pulak, nak buat hydro power baku tu kena protest pula.

Our crude is too sweet for own use. Tapis tu paling mahal dlm dunia tapi tulah lama2 habis juga :l ...
Tapis tu aiols rasa cam kena scam nak abes sejak 2000 tapi sampai ke sudah tak habis2.. asik revise econs je tiba2 tak deplete sampai la haahhahaahha |

Gas ini satu istilah yang tricky. Definisinya ...
Ada import gas dekat RGT di pengerang dan melaka.. mcm ala2 booster supply for pipeline keliling malaysia, ke singapore and kita supply sampai thailand songkhla sinun.. sbb pipepline ni hanya connected dgn trg terminal, supply kebelakangan ni yoyo turun naik... so kena import gas murah2 dari qatar etc tu contohnya... this is more towards balancing volume for supply security
And its more towards economics & margin call.. we shall leverage with the margin dgn optimize kita punya logistics, cost-to-serve
Ada export LNG long term contracts 20-30 yrs via Bintulu terminal ke japan, korea, etc and kita ada banyakkkk gas dekat canada jugak.. harga terms contract pulak bertingkek2 lebih mahal dari spot basis...

Majuperak, Shizen to explore solar photovoltaic development in Perak
IPOH: Majuperak Holdings Bhd (MHB) will collaborate with Shizen International Inc to explore the development of a solar photovoltaic project to expand Perak’s clean energy technology usage.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said the project is likely to be developed on land and water.
"This collaboration is based on two objectives; to explore the development of solar photovoltaic projects on land, and to assess potential water sites for floating photovoltaic projects in Perak.
"This collaboration is also in line with Perak's determination to develop green technology and efforts to attract investment through the Flagship Programme 12: "Water Resources and Renewable Energy Resources," he said in a MHB statement.
Earlier, MHB Group chief executive officer (CEO) Syed Agil Syed Hashim and Shizen International CEO Rei Ushikuboa signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Saarani and Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk) chief executive chairman Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak, who is also MHB executive chairman, witnessed the signing.
The state government welcomes local or foreign companies interested to invest in Perak, Saarani said.
Meanwhile, Redza Rafiq said he welcomes Shizen International’s cooperation and international experience in the field.
"We anticipate great progress will be achieved from the MoU because we are prepared to intensify the generation of renewable energy in Perak," he said.
He said the initiative is also in line with the National Energy Transition Roadmap which seeks to increase sustainable energy generation in the country. - Bernama

Kan? Masa i still in ong in early millenium pun dok ckp oil reserve malaysia lagi 20-25 yrs habis la. Ni i nak dekat pencen pun still going. |

Dalam LNG business long term contract itu wajib sebab pelaburannya besar. Like I said earlier, kalau tak ada pembeli gas itu akan kekal dalam tanah sampai kiamat, tak ada negara nak gamble. It's like jual dulu, baru produce. Pelik tapi benar

Aku cuma refer ckp lapiji msia ngra pengeluar minyak bkn mcm spore setitik minyak pun xde.....so g ...
Malaysia ni minyak sikit je, kita ni NET IMPORTER.. and mmg kita guna minyak mentah malaysia digunakan dalam Malaysia pun... dah lama dah tapis removed from being benchmark crude, tak silap i sejak 2014
Minyak mentah kita high quality... buleh buat lubricants berkualiti tinggi, bukan sebarang lubricants...
Nak fully import crude luar pun masalah utk proses.. sbb high acidity (corrosion & rosakkan catalyst) and high sulphur & metal content.. kena invest unit2 utk removal / treatment level billion2... not cheap
So kita campur2 laahhhh optimitize apa patut.. asalkan crude oil campur2 tu tak bergulung2 dlm tangki or pipeline je lahhhhh isu compatibility |

Projection memang boleh terlebih terkurang (tengok motif la kot )
Technically speaking benda ni boleh ja berlaku atas beberapa sebab:
1. New discovery
2. Teknoloji yang semakin canggih. Kalau dulu2 yang hujung2 tu tak boleh sedut, sekarang dah boleh
3. Engineer 'silap'
biasanya laporan reserve akan disertakan dengan probability data. Ikut suka lah nak petik yang mana.

Tak berapa tepat.. hahahahahahaha
Jawapannya economics...
Untung ke rugi utk gali & produce utk tahun tu.. kalo crude price naik, maka justified utk teruskan production.. kalo price crude jatuh tergolek, kita buleh plug that well, and sambung operate bila mahal balik..
setiap tahun kita revise price assumptions tu masa submission budget negara.. sbb tu projection berubah2... sama je kes well pesisir pantai kita, shale oil fracking ke, deep well ke.. onshore well ke... concept nya sama.. cost je berlainan.. onshore lebih murah relative to deep sea and shale...
And the cost may slightly become cheaper as technology matures... contoh gas lifting and chemical injection etc |

I think more towards #2. Ada fields yg deemed not economically viable to explore at that time.

Kalau boleh bergantung dgn solar semata, dah lama dah negeri2 yg advanced buat. Nak buat kat east coast, buat nya musim moonson hujan je semedang 3-4 bulan, mampus orang kampung tak de letrik kena pakai lilin.
