cepat interpret...

When love beckons to you follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions
May wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
As the north wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you
so shall he crucify you.
Even as he is for your growth
So is he for your pruning.

okie gals.. a short one...

ETERNITY

He who binds to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy;
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise

Autumn Reverie

by Gina Ames

If you could capture love in a season,
which would it be?
I'd choose autumn for a specific reason,
it has a gold only lover's can see.

- nobody can capture love without heart of gold
love is worth more than total gold in this world,
so the only way to capture love i.e to woo love need value appreciation, gold then and now is the world most valuabe asset
in short love is expansive and yet inbuilt i.e. oxigen is a need and yet free

Sunlight swells and overflows onto the air
like warm kisses on your cheek,
like a face of a goddess, so fair,
and a bitterness somewhat sweet.

- sun lite swells? obviously when leaves go brown during autumn the sunlight 'swells', when being kissed on the cheeks = blushing;
this is the effect of love when heart is infused with love;  pure blessing for first time lover; no judgement,  but i sense a problem as cold winter is just around the corner
in short experience of love for first timer who enjoy/appreciate its value

The world's forever wrapped in sentiment
or at least it seems
and when it leaves you'll lament
what cold the winter brings.

- the author really understand well the effect of moods esp from other people; dont sway to other people judgement or whatever catch u offguard otherwise ur love will be frozen

So hold your autumn reverie,
like a loved one against your chest;
see the gold that lovers see
and in it find your rest.

- always feel the golden love,  the priceless love, fill in in ur heart, always listen to ur heart along with ur head, appreaciate ur love in spite of the fact any nasty could eventuate, hold tight ur love, be a heart of gold, being one is the only way to find happiness despite any destitution

in short autumn reverie is revering the heart of gold, Neil Young anyone?

So clever....

one for the road...heheheheh...

I will not give thee all my heart
For that I need a place apart
To dream my dreams in, and I know
Few sheltered ways for dreams to go:
But when I shut the door upon
Some secret wonder--still, withdrawn--
Why does thou love me even more,
And hold me closer than before?
When I of love demand the least,
Thou biddest him to fire and feast:
When I am hungry and would eat,
There is no bread, though crusts were sweet.
If I with manna may be fed,
Shall I go all uncomforted?
Nay! Howsoever dear thou art,
I will not give thee all my heart.

neil young - heart of gold

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

Keep me searching for a heart of gold
You keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.

heart of gold = ?????????

boleh tak kalau kita analyse lagu ni...

folk songs always my favourite
kalo di mesia kita sebut lagu dusun lagu rakyat
lagu2 jenis ni seme timeless cam lagu tiga kupang lagu bangau ooo bangau

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

-to live is actually about giving
if one understand this one is full of gold in his heart for which one shall not give its form to the outside i.e. being humble keep digging keep giving
till end of life keep looking for good in others despite everything and give em heart of gold
the word keep searching to denote never ending
the word getting old re emphasize the journey for one must not stop
miner is dirty jod while gold is beautiful and bring joy to many but GIVE em
u see starting phrase is   i want to live and u see the end para is i am getting old and u can feel the 'journey'

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

-hollywood is man made jungle
redwood is an old natural made jungle macam taman negara
happiness and sad is a fine line comparison
man made beauty and nature made beauty is clear in the mind
artificial versus natural so the seeker mind is always provocative to find truth
even breaking the new frontier, being  at ocean is at the mercy of mother nature, the sea. one is much easier to escape death in land rather than sea so 'crossed ocean' is far greater risks than crossing land

Keep me searching for a heart of gold
You keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.

-YOU keep me searching dalam para ni i think kejadian lain, it makes the seeker to think but i will say You = Love

the love in everyone is actually the power that make he or she a miner of heart of gold, walau fisikal kotor berdebu susah sabung nyawa but as we see tak ramai nak jadik miner and giver rather depa be receiver or peminta sedekah for a GOLD.

Benarkah tiada bagiku
Ruang di hatimu untukku bertapak
Walaupun sejengkal jari
Agar dapat ku berdiri
Di ambang pintumu

kesian dia bercinta dgn org yg selfish (poet)...

I will not give thee all my heart
For that I need a place apart
To dream my dreams in, and I know
Few sheltered ways for dreams to go:

- - love is impersonal no matter what
it is about co exist, no matter how strong the love between 2 souls it is always 2 souls, no matter how trustworthy each of us is always apart from another, not to say selfish but we name it individuality, accept the uniqueness
to give everything to another soul is to  re born
i think the author merely bidding caution about the fire of passion in love

But when I shut the door upon
Some secret wonder--still, withdrawn--
Why does thou love me even more,
And hold me closer than before?

- here is the aspect of mysteries about love that is nobody love in the same way, most important love is not thinking process but many succumb to that attachment closeness caring are all love but they just aspects of bringing love but not love itself, we say they are nature of love

When I of love demand the least,
Thou biddest him to fire and feast:
When I am hungry and would eat,
There is no bread, though crusts were sweet.

- paradoxes between love and natures of love mostly i.e. do not seek and u will find, do not think and it will arise, the rational world the reason world the material world confuse an individu so be still, do not judge.

If I with manna may be fed,
Shall I go all uncomforted?
Nay! Howsoever dear thou art,
I will not give thee all my heart.

-key word here is manna. spiritual, mind, immaterial all are suitable for love to develop. as long one fill one mind with mana i.e. meditation one would less stressful. Seems to me this poem is about mind body relationship.
art - does art exists in spirit world or just material world?

i think this is a poem about rejection for a marriage, lot of marriage involved material aspects. eventhough they married eventually but merely in body i dont think the love union in souls unless ' if i with manna may be fed shall i go ALL uncomforted'? the aspect of love in marriage mostly about material affair and rarely a couple think of manna/spiritual aspect of it.
