Pros:
This episode is definitely a great kick-start toward building up the storyline for future episodes. The fast and adrenaline-pumping scenes soon subside in preparation for the heartbreaking melodramatic ones to come. And to top it off, there's great humor to support our sad hearts while they convalesce. The acting is amazing throughout the entire cast, and we receive an introduction to all the characters and their personalities (specifically Si On's [Joo Won's]) within one hour.
Cons:
Yoon Seo (Chae Won) did not play a major role in the first episode, despite her position as the female lead. She only got a few scenes to briefly allow the audience to familiarize with her personality, hinting that she will be a character of utmost importance throughout the remainder of the drama. Regardless of the mediocre hint and minor scenes, I feel as though the screenwriter wanted Si On and Yoon Seo to become known to each other as quickly as possible, therefore adding in the ending scene of drunk Yoon Seo passing out on Si On's bed. In all honesty, that came to me as the beginning of a cliché rom-com, and I wasn't pleased (and still am not).
I became somewhat bored starting between half point and third-fourths of the hour, and even started checking the time. Perhaps it was because the exhilarating thrill of the first half of the episode died down completely afterwards. Nevertheless, the last half hour was integral in setting up future conflicts and character clashes to come within the later episodes.
Overall:
Altogether, the first half of the drama is exceptional in its execution and introduction to Si On, but during the second half, the pace falters, and things begin to seem more like your typical realistic fiction drama. I have hope in Si On's mentor, though. He appears to be the light of the drama in the case of advancing parts of the storyline concerning medical and melodramatic themes. The romance can serve as a sub-plot for now, but in present time, I am most interested in Si On and his inner genius.
I apologize if my thoughts disagree with yours. I'm watching this for Chae Won (the love of my life), yet so far, Joo Won's character captures a far greater amount of my interest than how much I am invested in hers. (LOL at Yoon Seo's attitude, though. I'm loving that. [I'm loving her caring side, too.]) Disclaimer: I have no romantic attraction toward Joo Won (hands up), nor do I intend to stan him anytime soon.

first of all, drama neh x lingered on cerita panjang2 mengenai sejarah silam Park Si On ( Joo Won), penceritaan kisah silam dia adalah melalui flashback joo won & ajusshi director hospital, sedih woo bila tgk zaman kanak2 PSO
drama neh maybe fast-paced, starting jer beberapa minit terus tunjuk PSO buat some medicial procedures on a kid which was kinda cool
future conflicts dh ditunjukkan awal2 dalam episode 1 di mana some upper authority in the hospital will try to sabotage PSO through out his 6 months given time in the hospital
jo sang wook( doctor kim do han), second male lead awal2 dh x suka PSO & underestimate PSO's ability as peadiactric doctor/surgeon, so i think we'll see how PSO prove himself
ada tension between JSW dgn watak MCW dimana dorg berdua x sefahaman mengenai cara utk handle the patients, so ofc la this is love triangle/square materials
EP1 bila dh part2 last baru ada scene Joo Won dgn MCW walaupon MCW dok bermabukan x sedar diri main terjah jer bilik org lain pastu dia bantai tido pastu esoknyer MCW buat muka terkejut2 sambil pandang Joo Won yg tgh berus gigi sambil tidak memakai baju
Joo Won's acting is good, so as awesome MCW, JSW dgn ahjussi director hospital pun not bad
OST is awesome so far, awal2 drama jer keluar music mcm cerita disney
i think episode 1 is definitely a great start for the drama
