Plot
Wang So (Jang Hyuk) is the Prince of Goryeo. He had a lonely childhood, due to his cursed fate. As he grew up, he realized his talent to become a King. Wang So looks bright, but he has a wounded mind. One day, he meets Shin Yool (Oh Yeon-Seo), who is the Last Princess of Balhae. She was born with the fate of becoming the light for another country. Because of her fate, she faces death. Through a one night marriage, Wang So and Shin Yool become connected and grow to love each other.
CAST and Characters
Jang Hyuk (Wang So)
Fictional Goryeo-era prince who is first in succession for the throne. He belongs to a royal secret society and is dogged his whole life by a prophecy that he will turn Goryeo into an ocean of blood someday. His character is meticulous and bold, and is especially good at making quick decisions on his feet.
Fourth son of Wang Go. Third son of the third wife. "If this child gets born as a prince not princess, darkness will shower the whole nation and the palace will be washed with blood. Countless people will die, up and down will get reverted, and the world will be shaken." Born in the strongest maternal family but due to the prophecy that he will bring bloodstorm in Goryo, was stigmatized as 'the cursed prince'.When he was 8, his older brother Wang Tae gets killed mysteriously, and Wang Gun (father) worries that he will be blamed. so he kicks out Wang So from palace. He grows up in Keum Gang mountain.Because of the stigma that he is cursed and the scar that he was abandoned he lived freely without any goal in his life. He meets Shin Yool and learns the significance of 'choice'. He starts chasing after those who killed his father the emperor. He becomes a decisive man. A cursed prince who will bring a bloodstorm. But that bloodstorm can be a disaster or can be a light...Can light become Wang So's second destiny?
Oh Yeon Seo (Shin Yool)
The last princess from Balhae, and is skilled in many areas, including astronomy, geography, and the art of war. She’s fated to bring light to the Goryeo prince, and she’s described as spunky and wise, and a believer in fated love.
Ryu Seung Soo (Jeongjong, third Goryeo King)
Older half-brother of Wang So
Lim Ju Hwan (Wang Wook)
Lee Ha Nui (Hwang Bo Yeo Won)
Lee Duk Hwa (Wang Shik Ryeom)
The cousin of King Wang Gun (founder of Goryeo). He appears weak and a yes man in front of the King but harbors an ambition to be King.
