Stephen King Recommends
By Shan Williams

Reading Habits
A best selling author known world wide for his many novels Stephen King is also well known for his voracious reading habits (he is often pictured at his local baseball stadium with a book in hand) and his Twitter account (you really do need to go and take a look at his Tweets about Molly AKA The Thing of Evil).
Often sharing with us his latest reads King is generous in his praise of fellow authors and after seeing a list on a website recently I decided to scour his Twitter account to see just how many books the man has read; answer – lots! Here are the latest sixteen books that Stephen King recommends we should all read.
Spent most of the day reading the second half of BEHIND HER EYES, by Sarah Pinborough. What the Brits call “a thumping good read.” Bravo!
I’m reading THE NIX, by Nathan Hill. Just started, but so far it’s got me laughing hysterically. First 50 pages are worth the price. — Stephen King (@StephenKing) October 22, 2016
YOU WILL KNOW ME, by Megan Abbott: What an excellent novel. Gave me the creeps in the best possible way. — Stephen King (@StephenKing) January 9, 2017
Laura Lippman’s latest novel, WILDE LAKE, is a knockout. You should get right on that. — Stephen King (@StephenKing) September 29, 2016
The first great thriller of 2017 is almost here: FINAL GIRLS, by Riley Sager. If you liked GONE GIRL, you’ll like this.
THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD, by Colson Whitehead: Terrific novel of escape, sacrifice, and redemption. Reminded me a bit of Larry McMurtry.
Loving THE TWENTY-THREE, by Linwood Barclay. You should treat yourself to the whole Promise Falls trilogy. — Stephen King (@StephenKing) December 9, 2016
SLADE HOUSE, by David Mitchell: Hard to imagine a more finely wrought and chilling tale of the supernatural. One of the rare great ones. — Stephen King (@StephenKing) August 13, 2016

Something to ponder about the movie.
"In this visually enigmatic masterpiece we’re left with many unanswered questions, some of which I'll attempt to shed new light on in this article.
Is The Overlook as haunted as people think?
Why does he want us to notice a certain set of numbers?
Why was so much changed from Stephen King’s novel?
What’s significant about cast members being filmed entirely in the reflection of a mirror?
Why are there so many hard to notice items that visually disappear, re-appear, move around and change color throughout the movie?
What's the significance in his use of color?
Why did he place a crushed red VW in one scene?
Which cast members actually have this very special supernatural ability to “Shine”?
Where did Jack Torrance go in the end?
Why so many hidden Indians?
Why did he delete a scene at the end?
And the biggest mystery of all, what are we being pointed to in the date at the end of the movie?"
