Not all people who can speak English is educated or intelligent. Foreign countries where English is not their first language may find it hard to speak English but that doesn't mean that they aren't intelligent. |

I am not saying English is not needed. Neither am I vilifying the language. What I am saying is that English is not work, English is not leadership, English is not development and English is not a measure of intelligence. English is simply a language. That is what it is, a language!

Anyway, I’m almost ready to step off my soap box now. But if there’s anyone out there reading this who thinks that person “sounds stupid” because they don’t speak “proper” English (whatever that is…), I challenge you to stop listening to their words and start listening to their IDEAS. You never know, they may just be smarter than you…
To all the people out there who speak English as a second language: You are AMAZING. You are brilliant! I am in awe of you. I have tried, and failed, many times to learn one of the other many beautiful languages in this world. But you didn’t just try–you succeeded. Heck, some of you speak English better than I do! That impresses the hell out of me. Please keep sharing your ideas with the world in any language you so choose. We need you.

English and intelligence are two different variables; English is a language and it is part of a specific linguistic and lexical system whereas intellect is generally abstract and can be exhibited through any language or lexical systems of any choice, intellect is innate, English not innate and it is learned.

Yes, I somehow agree.
Walaupun tak pandai berbahasa Inggeris tu tak semestinya bermaksud seseorang tu tak bijak, but kita tak boleh nafikan yang English is often the nominated language to use in many industries and used by mostly highly educated professionals. |

Hmmmm...i've read the article b4 about whoever can speak/understand more than two languages intends to be smarter than others. But, how about japanese, korean, german or russian etc. They're smart enough even they dont know how to communicate in english. Some of them are smarter than people who can speak english as their 2nd language.
So...mythbusted |
