hello,,,ni nak tnya yerk...kalau skang beli compaq notebook dorang takkan kasi recovery cd kan??kita yg kena burn bende tu dari dlm comp kita sendiri kan...kalau kita terlupa nak buat recovery cd tu and dah terformat notebook tu cam ne nak buat yer???sbb operating system pun dlm recovery cd tu kan..abis la..cam ner yerk..mintak tolong sgt kalau sape2 tau cam ne nak buat..thanks...

kalau your computer still under manufacturer warranty, cuba tanya mereka. biasanya mereka boleh provide recovery CD. sometimes for free, sometimes you have to pay a little, not much though. oobi beli laptop dari third party, still under manufacturer warranty, recovery CD takde, so oobi called mereka dan mereka hantar satu set free (including free software). tapi, kalau dah tak de warranty, beli ajelah yang baru.

masalahnya xp di a mmg patutnya original sbb kat bawah laptop tu ade key num..xkan kena beli os yg baru ..mahal tu..lagi plak smua driver tak de...rasanye leh download kan driver tu...tau xcam ne nak contact compay nye cust service atau bole ke kita gi je kat kedai yg kita beli bende tu...

Kalau setakat nak install windows, guna je CD windows pirate.. Masa dia minta CD-key, guna yg bawah laptop tu... Jadi la ori.. sbb ori/pirate dibezakan pada key je...
Tp masalah tak settle gak sbb driver semua takdekan? tp bukanke semua driver tu diletakkan dalam partition khas? kalau terformat partition yg ada windows, belum tentu partition tu pun terformat...

recovery cd nih bermakna cd tu akan backup file dan sistem configuration dalam leptop sebelom recovery process berjalan. itu aje.

desktop pc contohnya acer, ada gak bekalkan recovery cd yg mana cd tu offer 2 pilihan samada : -
1- nak recover pada factory default atau
2- recover system only (file peribadi akan di back-up)
**file peribadi macam mp3, document words, excel, etc yg kita create.

so, problem ko ni meng-konpiuskan aku samada ko nak cari "recovery cd" atau  pun ko nak buat restore point/ backup cd/ recovery cd... :hmm:

ni  bukan nak recovery data utk diformat..ni recovery cd yg digunakan oleh labtops utk reformat balik comp...sbb selalunya kalau beli laptop dia akan include skali tapi laptop compaq skang dorang tak bagi recovery cd tu...dorang suruh kita burn cd tu sendiri yg mmg dah include dlm comp..the prob is my cousin terlupa nak buat burn recovery cd..pastu dia trus je format comp tu.sbb dlm recovery cd tu driver smua..xtau la cam ne...pening ni..bende tu still dlm waranty tapi rasanya kena cas jugak ni...bab nak kluar duit ni yg leceh ni....hahaha~~

maksud ko, recovery cd tu dah di copy ke harddisk leptop tu la? dan sepupu ko format tanpa sempat transfer ke cd?

aku rasa takde la besar sgt masalah ko tu.
driver dia semua ada kat website dia.
kalau HP, ko leh masuk website HP, acer punya masuk acer.
semua pun patutnya ada dalam internet utk di donlod.

nak tanya, your cousin to reformat computer dia tu gunakan apa? kalau gunakan recovery partition dalam computer tu, it won't write over the recovery partition on the hard drive. you won't be able to see the recovery partition from windows because it's usually hidden. so, it should still be there.

Ni sungguh pelik. Sepatutnya Compaq tu KENA bagi ko kurang2 an ori nyer OS cd (yg OEM version). Tu as proof yg ko beli OS yg ori. Biasanya OEM cd dari manufaturer tu, selain dari OS, ada utilities/drivers/etc. Ko tak dapat cd tu buat aku garuk kepala suspect ada udang belakang batu. Cuba ko call kedai/supplier/Compaq tanya pasal ni. I'm sure diaorang boleh sekurang2nya kasi ko a recovery cd... and insist dapat tu for free.

sekarang ni, most manufacturers memang dah tak beri recovery CD. semuanya mereka letakkan dalam customize partition on the hard drive (hidden from windows). kalau nak recovery CD, masa beli komputer tu kena beritahu. biasanya memang kena bayar extra sikit (another way of making profits). kalau tak nak, buyer boleh buat sendiri recovery CD tu. mereka boleh tunjukkan macamana nak buat.

Sad if that's the case nowadays... I guess I'll just stick to <ad>Dell</ad>. Our office got a couple of Dell laptops recently and they came with everything but the kitchen sink (default bag was pretty crappy tho). :hmm:

actually, dell is the same too. i think, it affects home users only, not businesses. as far as whether the implementation is the same across the globe, i don't know. but, definitely in north america.

by the way, if you're not sure if you still have the recovery partition, you can go to disk management. the recovery partition is the one without any label.

Wow, this is news for me... I got a Dell PC for my home early last year and it came with a couple of OEM CDs (OS/Recovery, utilities). Now no more CDs? Wonder what'll be next to go? No more plastic monitor screen protector during delivery? Thinner boxes? :hmm:

ff: Sadly iBooks tu can't custom order casing color... and walaupun aku suka blue, tapi lime green casing tu power... masuk jer bilik carrying tu, sure sumer orang pay attention kat apa I have to say. hehe. :nerd:

Aku beli Notebook IBM Lenovo 3000 untuk pak mertua.  Aku beli yg tanpa windows punya dapat jimat kos.  Masalahnya CD drivers pun dia org tk kasi dalam kotak tu.  Semua kena download.  Masalahnya selepas install windows, driver untuk WiFi pun Windows tk ada so kena download guna komputer lain dulu.  Lepas tu barulah boleh connect ngan internet dan download semua2 drivers yg lain2.  Punyalah nk jimat kos dia org ni sekarang.

d/load je kat hp nyer website.
gi kat software/download, pastu select model.
dia bg la sume yg patut ada dlm notebook ko tu.
kat sana pun ada cust careline no. kalau nak call.
tak pun contact kedai tempat beli tu, story sket dgn diorg, mesti blh tolong.
adik aku nyer notebook pun lebih kurang mcm tu jugak la kesnya.
