I have much confusion of wants and needs in the context of human relationships ...is it the need or our wanting to be with someone. Which is better or "right" so to say? should one be with a person because of the need to fill up the emptiness inside? U know the saying "u make me feel complete" or is it better to be with someone because u want to. Is wants and needs same?

IMO, needs come from a point of desperation, lack and neediness while want is a stronger feeling.

I may not need you but I want you.

depends on the perempuan u are saying it to..

For me neediness or having lack in one's life will make the person look for something outside to fill in the void in their life...thats where the problems starts..then if one is in that kind of relationship the foundation is already weak. once the magic is gone ...the emptiness or void is there again...again the person will search for something...if out of lack then addiction in it many forms will then be the quick answer.

When we come filled with love..all filled up..when the right person comes you just want to be with that person. Not of out insatiable desire.

so answering your question why do u need to tell to a women in such a manner...use yr instinct..use the right words. Use the peaceful way. there is no right nor wrong..when u use yr own wisdom

wanna share a story of a man who did tell this lady ...I don't need u...but I want to marry u..have u as my wife.

they have a very open yet they uphold the sacred contracts and workings of a marriage. I see they are happy have their normal ups and down. They both know what they want.

so it can be said...but to the right lady

WE human are born into this world..
as a piece of blank paper... white paper....
no colour; no contrast......
we then wish our life to be colourful; full of joy;
we then pour colour on the paper...
the paper is colourful....
yes.... but there is some part where there is dull colour and contrast..... white and black..so there is sorry n joy
it mean we human....... create suffering for ourself.....

we give false hope; we lie to ourself about life.........
and in the end we suffer.....we do not want to face realitiy........

the want is the need that we need to lie ourself so that people look up upon us...... reality... truth.... is it????

it is this false assumptions that we give ourself.......
we pour the colour in our mind... and that colour is not the reality and the truth......

therefore colou is empty........
get it?? you need to think very deep.......
same in other religion....... many people pour colour in their life till they never care about religion.........

Basic needs is keperluan,  your food your cloth,  shelter, and all the air udara.. and then come kehendak yg minggle around your keperluan jugak sebenarnya.. nk fancy2.. you dont need it but you 'need' it

I have once encountered experience , there is a colleague of mine asking how much I pay for my kids tuition & ngaji so I told her about rm250. But she says that it cost too much and mahal, for me its keperluan I untuk my kids education as for her spending rm250 for her skin care buat laser hilangkan marks  more important.

So some of us define the keperluan and kehendak totally differ from others.
