problem installing wine on ubuntu

hi im very new to linux...

i've been tryin to install wine on my ubuntu using instruction given in winehq page, and after givin command as instructed, it says;

"conflicting command".... why is that?

then when i tried to install from .deb file provided, an error occured...

help me

just type # sudo apt-get install wine

didnt work bro, it says "not in directory" or something lyk that...

is wine given in linux? or do we have to download the package separately? seems lyk mu ubuntu doesnt have any wine

i nearly lost my tempered...

the linux package given says dependencies unsatisfied...
intstruction given in the net didnt lead me to a solution...
the apt-get thing came to a dead end...
i couldnt do anything with my ubuntu..

someone please help me b4 i get rid of it from my pc...

wine berada di dalam repository universe

so ko kena enablekan universe repo dahulu

pastu update dan install wine

buang tanda '#' utk enable kan repo pastu ko save file sources.list tu

$sudo apt-get update
$sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
$sudo apt-get install wine

tu jer kalau ade error gpg key takder ko paste problem tu kat google ok

aku baru je burn jaunty-desktop-i386.iso alpha 5 ni..bila aku nak install..dia terus g ke language..lepas tekan enter..dia keluar suruh tekan F4...keluar menu lagi..lepas tekan enter..dia terus hilang dan keluar ni-bug Int 14 CR2 ffffb0f0 bla..bla...
