Cars, Bikes and Trucks (CBT) joined the cyberspace race on Aug 6 with the launch of its online portal.
Present at the Go-Live launch of the portal at Bangsar Avenue in Kuala Lumpur were car club members, bloggers and automotive industry fraternity.
"As a print publication, we have been in circulation for 10 years. We have had plenty of support and feedback from our readers and one of the things the readers have wanted was an internet portal," said CBT editor Yamin Vong.
"As in our print publication, we will be guided by the principle that we are here to serve our readers - our community of motorists, motorcyclists and motor clubs."
The website will be headed by Reza Razali, an IT consultant and automotive enthusiast.
"When Yamin invited me to create a web presence for Cars, Bikes and Trucks, I agreed straight away." said Reza.
It will carry most of the sections that are in the hardcopy which include the editorials, car reviews, scoops from motor shows, and regular columns such as Autocare by Paul David and Master OhToh.
Another powerful communication tool to watch out for on the portal is the video section.
"The video section is something new for us at CBT, and we are going to try to exploit it," said Yamin.
The content of the portal is currently growing and it is running on beta version.
