Btw, creative to me is, to do something that create interest. No matter in which field or on what topic or thing or issue u r dealing with.

thomas edison discovered 999 ways of not to make a bulb, only at a thousand experiment he discovered the successful one

to be 'creative' u have to 'perspire' a lot..withstand all criticisms, be very focus and attentive , and meticulous

and dont forget to have 'fun' also, to sleep a lot, dream a lot

u need to have a 'child mind', inquisitive, curious, throw caution into the wind, carefree

u dont have to be a hermit, u dont have to 'look' genius like any mad scientist, u can be a 'Mawi' from any felda in Malaya and yet u are a genius person, richful with ideas

pushing out of the envelope, out of any box, very consistent with ur life principles and values, very secured mentally even things around u are tumbling down

when u are in a creativity state..u are 'the other you', just like when u really fall hard in love

creative people do different things to their environment. conventions are not appealing to them, instead they try new ways to discover things and new way of thinking.
creativity are found in unconventional way of doing things. why buy when u can create?
make your own card, instead of buying it at hallmark shops. that should get our rightside brain working

I agree with the term discover tu. We discover things. Tapi kalau interest, should we say create or discover? Sungguh nak tahu ni.

Btw, i think thread owner should change THE TITLE OF THE THREAD. Creative title can attract more people to join and contribute ideas.

my simple defination of creative is....against the norms

anak aku selalu buat homework dia dgn tulisan besar2 gajah to cover all the page...instead of writing on the lines....dia cakap, i can save my battery

I remembered reading the following not too long ago ..................

In a nutshell it says that most of great scientists, artists, poets,  singers, writers and inventors have had a deep understanding of the workings of the conscious(the rational) and the subconscious(the irrational) minds. It was this that gave them the power to reach their goals.

One characteristic is surely persistancy...never give up easily. Use the conscious mind to send the right signals to the subconscious and then see the manifestation flooding back to the rational mind.

Curiousity, yes but if led by a need/desire/reason would lead to more useful discovery.

out of the blue...or you can replicate a style of another...

beforee thisss... i think im creativee person... when i modifyy art work my prenzz , pict from googlee... my prenzz toldd mee "waaaa.. smartt buat aku satu..." kakakaka..  mmm... that mean im a creative personn.. or maybee just pandai inovate another art work to be more  like i want be.. hahaha...
creative just not in mind but apply it in life...barulah creative personn... not juts angan2 mat jeninn..

creative to me is something that people realize after we make it realize...

it moves in our mind not coincedence but its true need observent...

when we make it realize,we try to act it like a use...

however it come any where,any place and very strange...

i ask to you all because many people said that im weird...

i dont know it since i spot from my fren bout my crazy idea in creating something strange...

did u know...da first i realize it when i ask my fren like this...'have u think that on if we use a glow in da dark paint to paint a road line,so we can save a cost of electricity...' my fren said..'u re weird...'

but the terrible expectation is from my fren..i tell her that people said i m weird..but i m not...she ask what makes it weird..i ask question to her..'wat u will think if an aeroplane in da world use to complete build up with parachute?...'..

u know wat..she start ran out when seeing me...

even my life always think something weird...and i always thinking on how to make things being real...i mean a dream become reality...

so..all of u forumer..please gimme an opinion...

p/s:dont u think that a skunk pee can reduce da crime in our city?

Being creative is being able to get your goals through unconventional ways.....ie you invent different ways to get  your goals. Another thing is, something is usually considered creative work if it has a use .....then you can say you also create a use or need for those thiings.:re:

creativity vs weird eh?

this is due to the context and people's perception. whilst its creative to come up with something different, it is also weird to come up with somehting new instead of the conventions.

like in malaysia, i think we malaysians have  a lot of potentials so when we apply something 'creative', locals would say its 'weird' but reality is, it has happened before. it has precedence. it is not new.

like i was saying, it is always to due context and people's perception. i dont believe that there is certain limit to ideas but i believe that new ideas would ameliorate society's mentality.
