Firewall software... mane yg best???

sorry if this has been asked before...

my laptop dh 3X kena intrude...:@ paling terakhir the last 3 weeks ago... here the report from my Sygate Personal Firewall Pro... it says on 19/1/2009..

Somebody is scanning your computer. (4 occurrence)
Your computer's TCP ports:
8080, 80, 3128, and 1080 have been scanned from 22.186.159.175..

Somebody is scanning your computer. (6 occurrences)
Your computer's TCP ports:
25427, 16167, 8695, and 29475 have been scanned from 211.92.76.153..

I realized this incident a day after it had been intruded...

so ada sesape yg boleh bg info atau bg suggestions... what firewall software is the most competent, reliable & most secure?

I guess Sygate Personal Firewall Pro didn't do the job well enuf

it not that way laa....
dulu masa memula terkena intrude... my firewall software tuh load warning message saying my pc has been scanning bla...bla...blaaa....
pastuh sya terus offline manually...

the second & third incident... I didn't realize these happened, it could probably I'm not in front of my pc that time... tak sempat offline manually so those craps managed to scan my pc for several occasions... so I dare to say... Sygate Personal Firewall Pro didn't do the job very well!
