When we wanna talk about explorers --- the first and foremost person
that will come to my mind will be non other than Sir Edmund Hillary -
explorer cum philanthropist -
First time i read about Hillary -- i was in Year 3 aeons ago
- we read the Bacaan Bahasa Melayu book -
and it was a story about Edmund Hillary --the first person who reached the Mount Everest
on the 29th May 1953 -- at that time when I first read about him -- he still alive and i remember
to this day the story --- about him and Tenzing Norgay -- and the story of Hillary Steps
and all his expedition as a mountain climber ---
he's from New Zealand -- very tall and handsome guy and smart to boot plus brave and
very kind -- a philanthropist -
Norgay on the summit of the Everest -May 29, 1953: Edmund Hillary took this photograph of
Tenzing Norgay as they set foot on the summit of Mount Everest,
the highest point on Earth.
