MELAKA – Seorang pengayuh beca didakwa di Mahkamah Ayer Keroh di sini, hari ini atas pertuduhan melakukan khianat dan mengugut untuk membakar rumahnya gara-gara berang isteri minta cerai.
Tertuduh, Shah Rizal Ithnin, 43, bagaimanapun mengaku tidak bersalah selepas tiga pertuduhan dibacakan secara berasingan di hadapan Hakim Mohd. Sabri Ismail dan Majistret Mazana Sinin.
Mengikut dua pertuduhan di hadapan Mohd. Sabri, tertuduh didakwa telah melakukan khianat dengan api iaitu membakar sofa, rak pinggan dan barang dapur dengan maksud menyebabkan kerosakan terhadap isterinya, Sri Masturah Omar, 47.

Perbuatan itu dilakukan kira-kira pukul 9 pagi di sebuah rumah di Balik Bukit, Bukit Lintang dalam daerah Melaka, 3 Jun lalu.
Sabit kesalahan, tertuduh boleh dikenakan hukuman penjara selama tempoh sehingga 14 tahun dan hendaklah dikenakan denda bawah Seksyen 435 Kanun Keseksaan.
Tertuduh yang bekerja sebagai pengayuh beca turut didakwa dengan sengaja melakukan khianat terhadap mangsa sama dengan cara memecahkan siling dan tingkap di bahagian dapur dan bilik rumah pada masa, tempat dan tarikh sama.
Bagi perbuatan itu, tertuduh didakwa mengikut Seksyen 427 Kanun Keseksaan yang membawa hukuman penjara tidak kurang satu tahun dan maksimum lima tahun atau denda atau kedua-duanya sekali, jika sabit kesalahan.
Sementara itu, dalam prosiding di hadapan Majistret Mazana, tertuduh didakwa telah melakukan ugutan jenayah terhadap isterinya dengan maksud hendak menakutkan mangsa dengan cara mahu menyimbah petrol untuk membakar kediaman mereka.
Perbuatan itu dilakukan tertuduh kira-kira pukul 2.20 petang semasa berada di ruang tamu rumah kediaman tersebut pada 1 Jun lalu.
Bagi kesalahan tersebut, tertuduh didakwa mengikut Seksyen 506 Kanun Keseksaan yang memperuntukan hukuman penjara maksimum tujuh tahun atau dengan denda atau dengan kedua-duanya sekali.
Terdahulu, pendakwaan dikendalikan Timbalan Pendakwa Raya, Muhammad Nazrin Ali Rahim dan J. Banusha tidak menawarkan sebarang jaminan sepertimana diperuntukan di bawah seksyen tersebut, manakala tertuduh tidak diwakili peguam.
Selepas mendengar hujah kedua belah pihak, mahkamah kemudian menetapkan tarikh 10 Julai ini untuk serahan dokumen dan lantikan peguam. – CARI
