Taktik Baru Scammer- Ugut Culik Anak Balik Sekolah, Minta Duit Tebusan

KUALA LUMPUR – Taktik terbaharu scammer menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp mendakwa berlaku kejadian culik murid sekolah di sekitar Lembah Klang dikesan berleluasa!
Terbaharu, eksekutif akaun nyaris menjadi mangsa penipuan scammer yang mendakwa menculik anaknya dan meminta sejumlah wang tebusan.
Ketua Polis Daerah Brickfields Asisten Komisioner Amihizam Abdul Shukor berkata, pihaknya menerima empat laporan berkenaan satu pesanan yang tular di WhatsApp mendakwa berlaku kejadian culik murid sekolah di sekitar Lembah Klang, antara 13 hingga 15 Jun.

“Salah seorang mangsa iaitu seorang wanita tempatan bekerja sebagai eksekutif akaun di syarikat tempatan memaklumkan menerima panggilan telefon daripada individu tidak dikenali mendakwa menahan anaknya.
“Suspek mengarahkan mangsa menyerahkan sejumlah wang tebusan, namun wanita itu dengan segera bertindak memeriksa keadaan anaknya dan didapati anaknya dalam keadaan selamat,” katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.
Amihizam berkata, selepas memastikan anaknya dalam keadaan selamat, mangsa terus memutuskan panggilan dan membuat laporan.
Katanya, kes berkenaan disiasat di bawah Seksyen 420/511 Kanun Keseksaan dan orang ramai dinasihatkan tidak menimbulkan sebarang spekulasi berkaitan kes ini.
“Dinasihatkan agar orang ramai tidak mudah percaya dengan sebarang panggilan telefon daripada individu yang tidak dikenali.
“Buat semakan dengan menghubungi pihak sekolah atau dapatkan pengesahan guru sekolah anda mengalami situasi sama,” katanya.
Jelas Amihizam, orang awam juga dinasihatkan untuk tidak mendedahkan sebarang maklumat peribadi dan membuat laporan di balai terdekat sekiranya berhadapan situasi terbabit.
Tegas beliau, sebelum membuat sebarang tindakan, orang ramai boleh menyemak nombor telefon atau nombor akaun di laman web ccid.rmp.gov.my/semakmule sebelum membuat sebarang transaksi.
