Evil man kills pregnant partner before sending chilling text message to her phone
After killing his heavily pregnant girlfriend Giulia Tramontano, evil Alessandro Impagnatiello tried to pervert the course of justice by sending her texts in which he pretended he was worried for her
A monster who killed his pregnant girlfriend and then hid her body in an abandoned area near the home they shared texted her multiple times after the murder pretending he was worried she had gone missing, prosecutors have said.
Alessandro Impagnatiello, a bartender at one of Milan's most exclusive bars, confessed he stabbed his partner Giulia Tramontano, 29, who was seven months pregnant and looking forward to giving birth to their baby son, Thiago.
The evil man tried to burn his partner's body twice last Saturday night, once in their flat's bath and then in a nearby outdoor area, before reporting her as missing on Sunday and concealing her body for days.
A huge search was launched and only in the night between Wednesday and Thursday this week, the 30-year-old killer confessed he had stabbed Giulia to death and hid her body.
Initially, Impagnatiello claimed Giulia had voluntarily walked away after discovering that he had a parallel relationship with a colleague, who was also unaware that he had another girlfriend and that they were expecting a baby together.
After the horrific killing, Impagnatiello tried to pervert the course of justice by pretending he was worried that his partner had disappeared, investigators said.
Italian prosecutors said the evil killer sent his victim texts every day, starting from the day he reported her missing, even though he knew she was dead.
On Sunday, Impagnatiello sent a message to Giulia's number saying: "Baby where are you? We're all worried." On Monday, he texted: "Earlier I was looking at our photos from Ibiza [a recent holiday they had]. I know I've not been the ideal boyfriend in the past few months."
On Tuesday, a day before confessing he had murdered Giulia, Impagnatiello wrote: "Just tell us you've escaped to some far-away country."
During their investigation, police in Italy have been pointing out all the inconsistencies in the killer's story, and found that in the days before the merciless murder of the woman and her baby, he had searched online how to burn a body and how to remove blood stains.
The murderer had also looked up a negative paternity test, as he wanted to convince his lover that the baby Giulia was carrying was not his.
Just hours before Giulia was killed, she had met Impagnatiello's colleague and lover, and the two women had shown each other's solidarity after being deceived by the evil man.
Italian media reported that Impagnatiello's lover was worried about Giulia and had asked her to stay with her that evening and not go back to the flat she shared with her boyfriend.
Impagnatiello's mother, who had taken her son's partner to the meeting with the other woman, had also offered her a place to stay at night, but said that Giulia wanted to go home, talk to her boyfriend and break up with him.
But between 7pm and 8.30pm last week, Impagnatiello killed the mother of his son, before texting his 23-year-old lover to say he was a "free man".
He then showed up at the woman's home to declare his love for her, however, she appeared scared and did not let him in, a man who saw the pair together said during an interview with the Italian TV programme 'La vita in diretta'.
Yesterday, during an interview with the programme, Impagnatiello's mother Sabrina branded him a monster and said she will never forgive him for what he has done. Asking Giulia's mother to forgive her for giving birth to the evil man, the heartbroken woman said: "My son is a monster. Alessandro was not like that, I don't know what happened. I still can't believe it."
In a direct appeal to the killer, his mother Sabrina added: "Alessandro, please, just tell all the truth. Now you can't escape from anything. You've ruined everyone, everyone. "You must say all the truth because we all deserve it, including Giulia with Thiago [the name the victim had chosen for her son]. Especially Thiago, your son, who you will never see again."
