KUALA LUMPUR: Infamous self-proclaimed Raja Bomoh Ibrahim Mat Zain has offered his "expertise" in aiding search efforts for the missing tourist who was swallowed up by a sinkhole along Jalan Masjid India here.
Speaking to reporters after performing his "rituals", Ibrahim said he needed to see the actual sinkhole to ensure the search was successful.
"We want to help because it has been over five days and the victim has not been found.
"I asked a policeman to allow me to see the sinkhole but was denied entry," he said when met at the scene.
When asked, Ibrahim said he did not bring his coconuts and bamboo binoculars because he did not want to cause a stir.
"We just want to help and ensure that everyone is safe. We dont want anything untoward to occur.
"We do not know if there are any dangerous animals such as snakes underneath," he said, claiming that he was instructed to come to the scene by "an important figure".
Ibrahim then proceeded to perform his ritual by sprinkling "special water" that he claimed was taken from the bottom of a waterfall in Perak.
