Android or Blackberry, which one is better?

Salam and hi, I'm considering the options ( to buy ) between these two, whether Android or Blackberry, which one is better?
And which one has the better GPS system?

Android Still Holds Majority of The Smartphone Market in Q2 2011

With so many manufacturers pledged their alliances to the operating system, it is not shocking that Google’s Android-based devices are still leading the smartphone market share for the second quarter of 2011 which is something that they have been doing since the fourth quarter of 2010. According to the recent statistics released by market research firm Canalys Ltd, Android is the leading mobile platform in 35 out of the 56 countries that the firm tracked.

Globally, Android has managed to cover 48 percent of the market share in Q2 2011 with 51.9 million shipments. Apple’s iOS did quite well too in the second place with a shipment of 20.3 million iPhones and 19 percent of market share which eventually enabled Apple to dethroned Nokia as the world’s biggest individual smartphone vendor.

Meanwhile, RIM’s BlackBerry had a tough time in Q2 2011 especially in North America where its market share is declining rapidly from 33 percent to 12 percent but still, BlackBerry’s overall global shipments have actually increased to 11 percent compared to a year ago. Things are not so good for Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform as well since less than 1.5 million devices were shipped during the quarter which equals to only one percent share of the market.

With quite a number of new smartphones are expected to be available in the market in Q3 and Q4 such as Apple’s iPhone 5 and Windows Phone-based Nokia smartphones as well as BlackBerry OS 7-based devices, the numbers will definitely change again but we don’t think that Android position will be compromised.
