I am very hard to handle dalos pictures of Jerusalem.  I remember a trip there as a nightmare and did not want to go there giveth the increase.  Never!  Old City of Jerusalem - it is chaos, filth and religious fanatics.  I do not know how people live there.  I do not understand.

  A.  In this post, will be only photos of the Old City of Jerusalem, which is surrounded by a wall and where the actual focus all the major shrines.

Two.  Old Jerusalem is traditionally divided into four quarters: the Muslim Quarter, Christian Quarter, Jewish Quarter and the Armenian Quarter.  People with a different worldview and religion live side by side in an area of 0.9 square meters.  miles.

Three.  In the Old Town can be reached through one of the seven gates.

  4.  The area in front of Damascus Gate, through which you get in the Muslim Quarter

Five.  Before entering into the Muslim quarter, as dirty, as well as inside it.

  6.  Damascus Gate

  7.  Before the doors were selling balloons in the form of Mickey Mouse.  Almost entrance to Disneyland ...)

Eight.  But the gate is not Disneyland, and the dump ...  In some places it was impossible to breathe, I even had the urge to vomit, as piles of waste simply decompose in the narrow streets

  9.  Having read in a guidebook about the possibility to get around the Damascus Gate to the wall, encircling the old city of Jerusalem and look at the top, took advantage of it.  They found some hole in the fence and climbed.

  10.  I offer you a "smart forms" of the old city of Jerusalem.  Slums and the world's holy sites ...  peculiar!

  11.

  12.

  13.

  14.

  15.  Went down.  We walk in the Muslim quarter ...  us, by the way, lucky.  Because most streets were empty, the Arab market has not worked and we did not observe all the local color, as on this day was a holiday of Eid al-Adha.  But we had enough, and what he saw.  Dirt and stink!  The Middle Ages some!

  16.

  17.

  18.  This post has pictures interspersed, so if you see an image of clean streets - is the Christian quarter ...  Only there quietly and cleanly.

  19.

  20.  Via Dolorosa-Let Sorrow - Way of the Cross.  This street, along which ran the path of Christ to the place of crucifixion.  On the Via Dolorosa are 9 out of 14 stops Way of the Cross of Christ.  The last 5 are in the Holy Sepulchre.

  21.

  22.  Cafe in the Old City of Jerusalem.  Briefly about them: terrible food and poor sanitary conditions EVERYWHERE!

  23.  The Armenian Church

  24.  In its courtyard is divided a small cafe, where we tried to dine.  Food looked disgusting, but it seems as alive!

  29.  Go to the Wailing Wall - the main sanctuary of the Jews.  To get to it, you have to pass a metal detector around the object and a lot of people with guns ...

  30.  The Wailing Wall is the holiest place for Jews.  Already in the first centuries after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, it became a place of prayer in which Jews mourn the destruction of the temple and pray to God for the revival of Israel in his country, place, symbolizing the past glory of Israel, and hope in his future.  Religious Jews around the world are praying toward Israel, Jews in Israel pray towards Jerusalem, and Jews in Jerusalem pray in the direction of the Wailing Wall.

  31.  Millions of pilgrims and tourists from around the world each year come to Jerusalem to see the Western Wall and left a note asking to God among the stones of the wall.  Incidentally, the wall has a Hebrew name "Western Wall" and the "Wailing Wall" it was called Arabs.

  32.

  33.  Trying to find the Holy Sepulcher, staggering through the maze of streets

  34.

  35.

  36.  Again, the Muslim quarter.  "Beauty" and "fresh" air!

  37.  By the way, talk a little bit as we tried to enter the Temple Mount, where the main Muslim shrine.  I would love to see the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Dome of the Rock mosque and the Chain.  But we were not destined to get there.  For tourists the Temple Mount is open two times a week and which days we did not understand from the guards.  We tried to get there in a few control points propusknyeh, but to no avail.  Strict security guards with machine guns, we asked the Muslims or not.  I shook from head to toe, Tell your many names for God, but when I was asked to read a prayer and show your passport, I quickly retreated.  Oh!  And the name of Jamil did not work and we sort of did not look like terrorists!

  38.

  39.

  40.

  41.  It has sold the film for Kodak cameras ...

  42.  And here is the main Christian shrines of Jerusalem - the Holy Sepulcher.  The temple was built between 326 and 335 years over the place where the coffin was placed in Christ and where he was raised.

  43.

  44.  Some pictures from the inside

  45.  When we made our way to the Temple of the Holy Sepulchre, I visited just a wild idea of how people choke on there during the pilgrimage at Easter or Christmas.  There are sometimes two people do not disperse!  And in the temple a little space.  I can not imagine how people are still alive after that stampede, which is obviously going on there!

  46.

  47.

  48.  Finally, hang a couple of pictures of the old town of narrow streets.  The city.  frozen in the Middle Ages ...

  49.

  50.

  51.

  52.

Farewell, O Jerusalem!  Farewell for ever!  You're the bad dream of my life ...

mungkin sebab yahudi-kristian lebih berminat dengan dome of the rock. tapak dome of the rock tu menurut bible adalah the centre of solomon's temple dipanggil holy of holies. dan itu juga adalah sebab kenapa tapak tu dibangunkan binaan bernama dome of the rock semasa zaman khalifah umar untuk menjaga kesucian kawasan tu

i rasa plak gini...yahudi nak larikan perhatian Muslim dari Masjidil Aqsa, so depa promo Dome of Rock.. sebab depa lagi berminat dgn kawasan Aqsa dari Dome, Wailing Wall pun bersebelahan jer dgn Aqsa..

pintu masuk ke Wailing Wall, sentiasa di kawal... Muslim tourist kena scan/check kalau nak masuk..
