focus on the Buddha's core teachings

I think in general, as the Buddha lived 2,500+ years ago, there's the possibility of a lot of myth & superstition getting added later. Even the commentaries to the suttas can just be someone's personal opinion/interpretation.

Personally, I try to focus on the Buddha's core teachings and if they seem relevant to my own life experience, then I do my best to practice them.
