there is one stephen king book that i read years ago, but couldnt remember the title. it was so dark and horror that it left me feeling dumb and disturbed after readuinng it. that is why i couldnt bring myself to read another SK novels as i'm afraid i might get disturbed again.

1. Istanbul by Orhan Pamuk (I just dont find his writing in this book to be engaging. Maybe while I was reading it I had a chip on my shoulder)
2. Birdman by Mo Hayder (This book affected me in a strange way. I was terrified because it's so gory)
3. Terima Kasih Si Babi Hutan by Lepat (I sympathise and I was disheartened)

1. One Fourteenth of an Elephant by Denys Peak (I was so moved by it I cried)
2. Songlines by Bruce Chatwin (A beautiful book one I could read a hundred times especially during my travels)
3. A House For Mr. Biswas by VS Naipaul (it was quite a revealation about different culture and different society)
