INTUITIVE KNOWLEDGE takes forms such as belief, faith, intuition, etc. It is based on feelings rather than hard, cold "facts."

Someone explains this as that little voice which says it's true when the reasons and senses deny it. It is the subconscious which when properly tapped may produce wonderous results.

takda siapa ke nak bicara tentang epistemologi Islam secara spesifik?

untuk bicara topik ini, cara yg mudah bagi saya ialah kaitkan dengan seseorang tokoh... sebab setiap tokoh umumnya ada pandangan tersendiri.

misalnya apa beza epistemologi imam ghazali dgn katalah ibn sina
atau antara ibn rusyd dgn katalah ibn taimiyah...

atau beza antara epistemologi ahli2 kalam dgn para sufi misalnya.

kemudian kita boleh tengok perbezaan dan persamaan antara epistemologi islam ngan barat misalnya...
juga perbezaan dan persamaan antara tokoh2 dari tamadun yg berbeza itu...

misalnya ada tak persamaan antara imam ghazali dengan katalah descartes...

bagaimana pula mereka menanggap isu2 fizik dan metafizik...

and one more thing is..rather complicated....

what are the general theoretical/ framework of philosophy as in what would , or how by learning philosophy. one would improve his view on various types of disciplines available at present time?

like i know in philosophy , a person would learn logic or mantiq as one of the subjets and this knowledge - based is applicable to all other science disciplines. ok that's good but to what level?
just the general level i.e the surface level or into the deeper level i.e content?

onto bincang apa yg kita boleh/mampu tahu
epis bincang macam mana kita boleh tahu atau macammana kita nak tahu

basically onto tu kena pastikan dulu
then baru pergi epis
kalau kita tak tau batas apa yg kita boleh/mampu tahu kita akhirnya akan kaji menda2 yg sebenarnya kita tak boleh tau tapi usaha juga nak tau
kerja sia2...

kan ada menda yg kita panggil fizik dan metafizik
noumena dan fenomena
nyata dan ghaib
dan yg hanya perlu dipercayai

u can turn everything into a philosophy tau...

eg... the philosophy of undergarments

yg saya nampak falsafah ni is the background of everything yg manusia buat
mesti ada sesuatu yg inherent di belakangnya... be it kepercayaan dia, agama dia, pegangan dia, prinsip, nilai, kaedah or whatever

perjalanan sejarah sesuatu kaum, negara atau tamadun itu is charted based on certain philosophical backgraund
masyarakat pun begitu
diri kita sendiri pun gitu sama ada kita sedari atau tidak

so knowing what is actually inherent dalam diri kita dan manusia pelbagai kelompok adalah knowing philosophy actually...

An interesting analogy, Tham. It reminds me of two groups of ppl:

One : Just accept and internalyse.
Two: 'Test the water' and spit it out.

I guess perhaps it would be better to "kekumur" and then swallow it ??

Secara simantiknya, epistemologi berasal daripada perkataan Yunani, iaitu "episteme" dan "logos". "Episteme" bermaksud pengetahuan manakala "logos" pula bermaksud teori. Epistemologi membahas secara mendalam segenap proses yang terlihat dalam usaha kita untuk memperolehi pengetahuan.
Dari segi bahasa bermaksud teori tentang ilmu pengetahuan.
Epistemologi merupakan satu cabangan falsafah. Epistemologi prihatin tentang beberapa isu klasik, iaitu apa itu ilmu, apakah sifat-sifat utama konsep ilmu menurut rasionalisme, empirisme dan skeptikisme.
