Bile nak encode video with srt subs, ade error

erm.. oh.. sori la buke thread pelik cam gini nih..
nak tanye..
skrg ni tgh try encode video ngan srt subs skali gus,
dia kuar 'this software has to shut down' .. pstu kuar send report n dont send tuh.
so, kene la tutup software yg utk encode tuh..
rasenye mcm ade problem ngan direct vobsub..

so, sbenarnya, problem dia ape?
komputer masalah ke directvobsub?

ade x solution lain utk encode nih?

install codec dulu. aku rekemen KLIte Mega codec dari www.free-codecs.com
converter apa ko guna tu? Ulead ke?
aku rekemen ko pakai TMPGnc punya. yg tu mudah nak cantum subtitle.

Convert DivX to VCD with subtitles

Ok, many users who have a habit of downloading movies from the Net prefer to use subtitles with those clips due various reasons (obviously most of the world's population don't speak English, but want to watch Hollywood movies). Very often the movies that are available on the Net are in some AVI-wrapped format, such as DivX or XviD. Then people tend to download separate subtitle files (with extensions such as .srt, .sub, .txt, etc...) and watch their movies like this. But the thing is that virtually everybody nowadays has a stand-alone DVD player (or at least should have ;-) and many prefer watching videos with their DVD players instead of using PC's TV out connections.

Now, since AVI is not a standard in any ways, DVD players don't play them. But there are two formats that can be stored on CD that most DVD players support: VCD and SVCD. SVCD produces better video quality than VCD, but since VCD is accepted by more players than SVCD, we will use VCD in this guide.

So, the plan is to re-encode DivX/XviD video into VCD with permanent subtitles. You can use this guide also without subtitles if you don't need those, simply skip the subtitle part of the guide. Please remember than re-encoding video from any lossy format to any other lossy format, will always make the video worse -- this is always the case, whether you re-encode DivX to XviD, VCD to SVCD, SVCD to DivX, etc.. So, use this guide only if you can't re-rip the original DVD into VCD format and really want to convert the video into VCD format.

Requirements

You need to have appx. 1.5 gigabytes of free space for the resulting VCD file. You also need to have these tools -- some of the are optional, depending on the video and audio codecs of your video and what you have installed on your system already:

• GSpot (for check what are the required codecs)
• FFDShow (video codec that supports DivX and XviD and subtitles-- optional)
• DirectVobSub (optional -- for subtitles that FFDShow can't handle)
• VirtualDubMod (optional -- required only if your audio file is in Ogg Vorbis or AC3 format)
• BeSweet (optional -- required only if your audio is in Ogg Vorbis or AC3 format)
• BeSweetGUI (optional -- required only if your audio is in Ogg Vorbis or AC3 format)
• BeSplit (optional -- required only if your audio is in Ogg Vorbis or AC3 format -- BeSliced is included within this package)
• TMPGEnc

erm, kalau gune comp yg satu lg tu, boleh je convert.
followed the steps dgn betulnye..
tp, kalau gune laptop nih tak boleh..
mslahnye skrg, hard disk dah nak penuh.. tp still ade 1.5 gb lebeh la..\
nak dload lagik..
so nak kene burn nih..
takde external dekstop mahupun external dvd burner :nerd:

cakap la awal2 ada pc lain yg dah boleh convert. leptop tu memang kena freekan space la.
cam aku cakap, follow instruction.
bila dah terer, baru ko tau mana step yg boleh langkah mana yg wajib, mana yg sunat... hehe...

subtitle yg ko guna ialah "srt". kadang2 srt ni takde, dan yg ada ialah "sub".
"sub" ni pun subtitle file jugak. "srt" dan "sub" dua-dua adalah file subtitle tapi dgn format yg berbeza.

oh ye, ko boleh la splitkan file tu ke saiz 700mb dan burn kan sparuh2 ke cdr.
kalo nak, ko beli la external harddisk, atau harddisk + usb casing.
atau beli dvdrw + USB casing utk jadikan dvdrw tu sebagai external.

usb casing utk harddisk (3.25 inci) RM50.
USB casing utk DVDRW (5.25 inci) RM70-RM90.

masalahnye, nak transfer kat comp satu lagik tu nggak boleh..
cos blom ade external harddisk mahupun dvd burner..
skrg nih tgh pokai, akakaka..
anyway, cammane eh nak amek screencaps?
nak tunjuk ape yg kuar kalau nk mule convert.. akaka.

tekan je print screen button, pastu paste dekat MSPaint. then save jadi jpeg atau PNG.

sebelah button F12 (keyboard biasa).

kalo leptop, ko cari button [PrtScr] tapi kalu leptop kadang2 ko kena tekan Fn+PrtScr tu serentak.
pastu baru paste dekat MSPaint.

okey, ko kena reinstall codec (yg ko ada) dan reinstall jugal TMPGenc tuh.
then try run balik, tengok ada error lagi ke tak.

codec tu seeloknya yg latest la. cek online kot2 ada update/patch utk codec tu.

tak payahh reinstall codec...tmpgenc mmg ada problem dgn certain vsfilter(vobsub ver 2.37)..maknanya ada setengah file dia akan keluar error.

solution: pakai converter lain..tmpgenc dah outdated

another solution: uninstall direct vobsub 2.37....and install the old version(vobsub 2.33)...
