Change only the processor , possible?

I plan to change my P4 2.66 GhZ processor to PD 2.6 GhZ....

But izzit possible , do I have to change the mobo??
And yea... I hear people say that Pentium D/PD can't support a lot of GPU esp. Nvidia ones and the processor itself are not stable....

ko punya prosesor lama, yg ini ke? :dia: pentium 4, 2.66 GHz = socket 775
yg ko nak tukar tu yg ni ke? :dia: pentium D, 2.6  GHz = socket 775

kalau betul macam ni, boleh la tukar processor.
tapi pastikan ko baca dulu pasal mainbod ko, samada mainbod ko support class D atau tak.
Intel ni kekadang lembab sikit. ada chipset conflict.

kalau AMD open aje. selagi soket sama, prosesor class apa pun leh suMbat.
