Apasal, tak ada ongkos ker nak cari Ori punya Windows...
Tapi member aku cakap pengguna inux setanding dengan window pirate!.. aku tak paham.. apasal tak dibandingkan dengan window ori... heran, dan bila timbul tajuk ini aku lagi heran!...

Wnidows Ori yg legal kena pakai duit ler duit tu yg bagi bill gates kayooo

Linux nie open source actually setanding dengan Unix/ MAC OS kalau nak banding ngn windows mmg windows byk ketingalan dgn linux byk bende dia tiru linux/unix.

Sebab mentalliti org kiter mg tak menghargaii\ bende percuma (percuma= tak bagus) kena bukak minda dulu pakai/guna/explore/hack/godam linux nie sebaik2 nyer baru korang tahu kelebihan nyer nie baru jer satu dua hari install try pakai kater linux menyusahkan ler tak user friendly ler sampai biler2 kiter bergantung pada produk closed source yg tak bagi ngk code dia tu pikir2 ler

live cd ni, OS yg tak perlu di install

so masa boot, dia cuma load ke RAM so boleh testing dulu OS tu...

klu nak try ubuntu 8.04

download live cd tu kat link atas, pilih location then hit download

klu guna torrent lagi senang keje download, sb dia terus check ISO tu full ke ada data lost ke

tapi ade jugak comersiol punye software mostly macam game pastu yang paling best linux nie ade package manager utk kita install dan uninstall secara online utk system linux kite even windows ngn mac os tak der ciri nie sebab pakej manager linux bukan update OS shj dia akan update semua pakej2 software dalam sistem kiter dgn SATU KLIK SHJ. saper kater linux tak user friendly korang jer malas nak belajo.

Aku pilih linux untuk kerje2 harian aku. Mana kala kalo nak buat design, aku guna power book. Windows ni dah lama aku tinggal. Sejak aku masuk alam kerja.

p/s: Faris ajak kita beralih ke open source. Tak yah nak pening pala nak cari anti virus, nak lawan spyware dan adware. Free for all. No more headache.

Pakej manager tu aku tahu, tapi maksud aku software khas seperti setanding dengan Conupos Edius, ProTools, Adobe Package CS3, Cubase, atau lain-lain pakej untuk animasi kartun 3D, dan sebagainya... company besar ini ada tak keluar free untuk Linux, kalau ada baguslah, sebab harga Ori memang mahal giler...

kalau setakat Package Office, media player, dan sebagainya aku rasa linux memang ada dan ok... best, power.

kalau MS nak discontinue support utk XP, aku tak kisah pun (utk aku la). sebab aku tak pernah call microsoft support pun.

selagi microsoft office 2003 boleh run kat XP, selagi itu lah aku akan guna XP. sebab software tu je yg aku guna utk productivity. campur dgn firefox.

XP ada support IPv6 tak? kalau tak support, mungkin nak kena tukar jugak nanti.

kalau pasal hardware aku rase Linux nie pentium II pon bole masuk lagi mmg takder masalah yg jadik masalah hardware kat linux sebab manufacture tak release driver utk linux utk propietary punyer source yg nie salah manufacture so jgn beli barang dia.

utk komersiol linux software pon byk kena bayar ler linux nie tak semua bende free ler aku pon pelik mentaliti org kiter bende free tak bagus. bayang kan oksigen yg kita ambil hari2 (FREE kan) kite tak amik camner air yang kena bayar pon bole hidup lagi beberapa minggu

I think the big question around open source is how do you make money from it? And it's because the software industry has traditionally been built on an intellectual property licensing model. But the reality of the situation is with the rise of open-source software, developers don't buy things anymore. [It is] a world where you can go to the Web and download just about anything you could possibly need to put an application into production. So you don't monetize at the point of acquisition of software any longer, you have to monetize at a different place. So it's not to say that there is not money to be made in software, it's just made at a different place, and the different place is with all of the developers adopting technology, putting it into production, some of those applications that are deployed are going to be successful. They're going to run into the traditional challenges of having to grow and scale that application. They're going to need to have a relationship with the vendor behind the technology. So there are ample opportunities to make money because even though open source is free in the monetary sense, it still requires a lot of expertise and knowhow to make it operate efficiently. So there's plenty of opportunity there to add value.

Aku kalau dapat yang free aku sambar yang free jer... tapi janganlah banding linux dengan windows free!...

linux power tapi free.. - software: ada freeware dan berbayar
window entahah, tapi kena beli... software: juga ada freeware dan berbayar

Aku tak pakai linux sebab banyak software utama aku belum support linux..
Bagi aku bukan yg free tak power... tapi mentaliti setengah pihak, puas yang free walaupun curi...

sudah tentu ubuntu dan sewaktu dengannya. pada aku la, since dah ada ubuntu yg senang nak pakai ni, lebih baik pakai ubuntu yg free jek daripada support pirates. kalau setakat nak testing something boleh la test dgn vista xxx tapi lepas tu kalau nak pakai jugak elok pakai yg free sebab ubuntu pun best per.

ya betul tu, lesen windows pun bukannya mahal sangat, ambik yg oem.
kalau software mcm photoshop, barulah mahal, tapi kalau dah perlukan power photoshop sudah tentu buat projek besaran dan sudah tentu mampu beli yg ori. kalau tak, pshop elements pun dah cukup atau cari yg freeware/opensource.
