to me...

being MODEST is not 'bragging' about what you have accomplished or done..
being HUMBLE is kinda like feeling inferior about yourself when compared to other people.

In my humble opinion, being humble and modest is nothing to be proud of.

Everyone should strive for the ultimate confidence. Not arrogance as arrogance is usually a heavily disguised/masked insecurities.

This is true confidence. The mark of successful man. And the only way of living fully in this world. That way, you benefit yourself and you benefit others. For if you are nothing, if you are useless then you got nothing to be proud of and you will feel like a bug. Ready to be trampled around.

There will be no envy, no jelousy. For truly there is nothing to be envious of. You are fine as you are.

And then the entire world will be but a 1 inch diametere of sphere in your hand.

Humble................cam " Patik pacal yang hina" atau yang"di bawah batu jemala ..." just the opposite of "Your Highness".

An expected attribute if you are a coolie or slave. Greatly desired when communicating with certain high ranking officials especially the King or Sultans.

Modest..............pretty average in achievement or dressing......or can also be quite humble when it comes to acknowledging one's deeds or achievements. Greatly appreciated in traditional Malay community...."ikut resmi padi".......
