MobileWorld Congress 2008, Barcelona, Spain/Espoo, Finland - Nokia todayunveiled the Nokia N96, a multimedia computer truly optimized for videoand TV. With a large 2.8" screen, 16 gigabytes of internal memory andsupport for high-quality videos in a wide range of formats, thedual-slide Nokia N96 represents an exciting new chapter in mobilemedia. The Nokia N96 multimedia computer is expected to begin shippingin the third quarter of 2008 with an estimated sales price ofapproximately 550 euros, before subsidies or taxes.
"In2007, the Nokia N95 became an icon of convergence of Internet andmobility. With over 7 million units sold to date, the N95 has changedthe way people use their mobile device. The Nokia N96 we introducedtoday builds on the success of N95, further enhancing the experience,"says Jonas Geust, who oversees Nokia's Explore category. "Through thepower of the Internet, video and TV are becoming even more prevalent inpeople's lives. With its large, bright screen, and a range ofhigh-speed connectivity options and the enhanced Nokia Video Center,the new Nokia N96 is a personal window to entertainment."
Accessinginternet videos is quick and simple. The Nokia N96 supports commonvideo formats including MPEG-4, Windows Media Video and Flash Video,making favorite videos easy to view. Transferring and accessing videosis even faster with the high-speed USB 2.0 connection and WLAN andHSDPA support. In select markets, the integrated DVB-H receiver offerslive broadcast TV with an automatically updating program guide. Themassive memory can store up to 40 hours of video content. The storagecapacity of the Nokia N96 can even be further expanded with an optionalmicroSD card, such as the new Nokia 8GB microSDHC Card MU-43 whichincreases the available memory of the Nokia N96 to a total of 24 GB. For added convenience, the Nokia N96 features a 'kickstand' on the backcover that allows for hands-free viewing.
TheNokia Video Center offers one place to discover and access a variety ofmobile content ranging from movie trailers and comedy to news fromworld-leading content brands such as YouTube, Reuters, and SonyPictures. The catalogue of internet video feeds is continually expandedwith more regional and country specific content.
Fora superb music experience, the Nokia N96 features media keys, a 3.5 mmheadphone connector and built-in 3D stereo speakers. The Nokia Mapsapplication offers richer maps with urban details and satellite viewsand has upgrade options such as City Guides, turn-by-turn pedestrianmode and voice-guided car navigation.
TheNokia N96 boasts a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, flash andvideo light. It allows DVD-like quality video capture at 30 frames persecond. Further, with the integrated A-GPS, consumers can now 'geotag'their pictures with location data and share them with their onlinecommunities.

Nokia 6210 Navigator
New converged device with integrated compass offers easy navigation for drivers and pedestrians
MobileWorld Congress 2008, Barcelona, Spain/Espoo, Finland - Nokia todayintroduced the new Nokia 6210 Navigator, the company's firstGPS-enabled mobile device with an integrated compass for pedestrianguidance. The Nokia 6210 Navigator comes with Nokia Maps 2.0, alsoannounced today, and includes full voice and visual turn by turnguidance at no extra cost. The Nokia 6210 Navigator is estimated tostart shipping in the third quarter of 2008 in select markets with anestimated retail price of EUR 300, before taxes and subsidies.
 
Combinedwith an 'accelerometer' which measures changes in direction andorientation, the built-in compass makes it easy to follow the map whenstrolling about on foot. When turning the device, the map automaticallymaintains its orientation. The integrated Nokia Maps 2.0 applicationwill plot the quickest route to the desired destination and illustrateit on the map. Thanks to high-speed 3.5G connectivity, detailedinformation about each point of interest, like the phone number or webaddress is a click away.
"Thepersonal navigation market is expanding rapidly and mobile phonenavigation is its fastest growing area. According to recent marketresearch by Canalys, over 60% of mobile phone users are keen to havenavigation on their phones," says Markku Suomi, the head of Nokia'sConnect device category. Carnavigation is also simple with the pre-installed one-touch navigation,full voice guidance and self-mount car kit of the Nokia 6210Navigator. If the user makes a wrong turn, the device willautomatically calculate a new route.
TheNokia 6210 Navigator supports assisted GPS (A-GPS), which enables theGPS receiver to acquire the satellites in just seconds. The device isready for use out of the box, even without a SIM-card. Local maps arepre-loaded on the 1GB memory card of the Nokia 6210 Navigator and mapupdates are included in the sales price. For an additional fee, userscan purchase multimedia city guides from premium content providers viaNokia Maps application and download additional map areas for free viaNokia Map Loader at maps.nokia.com.

The Nokia N78 is designed to take advantage of the new suiteof Nokia services, including the Nokia Music Store, Nokia Maps, andShare on Ovi - a new online service that enables consumers to sharetheir personal media. The Nokia N78 is expected to start shippingduring the second quarter of 2008, with an estimated retail price ofapproximately 350 euros, before taxes.
TheNokia N78 packs a powerful range of technologies, including integratedA-GPS, with free Nokia Maps, WLAN and high-speed HSPDA 3G connectivity,a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and support for microSDmemory card, currently available at up to 8 GB, to store favouritemusic and media. The novelties of the N78 are geotagging of photos andan integrated FM transmitter that allows music to be played on any FMradio, in a car or at home.

Connected, Mobile navigation for Walk and Drive has arrived - Nokia unveils Maps 2.0
Updates include enhanced pedestrian navigation, new satellite images and support for integrated compass orientation
MobileWorld Congress 2008, Barcelona, Spain/Espoo, Finland - Today at theMobile World Congress Nokia announced that the Beta version of NokiaMaps 2.0 is ready for you to take out for a spin. Nokia Maps is takingits mapping and navigation experiences to the next level by enhancingits pedestrian navigation, adding multimedia city guides, offeringsatellite images, and sporting a redesigned user interface.
NokiaMaps 2.0 adds Walk, a pedestrian focused navigation component to theapplication, while still offering Drive, a world class car navigationsystem. The pedestrian navigation efficiently walks you from A to Bwith visual turn-by-turn guidance. It helps you to locate yourself bygiving information about the surrounding buildings, streets and parks(including pathways through the park) and in newer handsets, like theNokia 6210 Navigator, points the direction in which you are walking;using the handset's built in compass for orientation.
Thenew Nokia Maps 2.0 update also adds the option to purchase first-classmultimedia guides that feature photos, videos and audio streams toenlighten your journey even more. As with the previous version of NokiaMaps, map users will receive a free 3-day Navigation trial, for Walkand Drive, plus an additional free 10 minute City Guide trial.

With vectormaps provided by TeleAtlas and Navteq, Nokia Maps now has maps coveringover 200 countries, with over 70 of them navigable.
NokiaMaps 2.0 can also lead you to the nearest transit station usinglocalized icons in 17 cities so you can hop on the Metro to get acrosstown. While you are on riding on the Metro you can discover and explorenew places using the hybrid satellite views or by purchasing one of thenew multimedia city guides from companies like Berlitz. The expertadvice on where to go and what to do, combined with the integratedNokia mobile search, helps Nokia fulfill its goal of bringing peoplecontext aware Internet services forward.
Nokiaalso announced that they are planning on bringing Nokia Maps to themass market with a Series 40 version of Nokia Maps, which will be readyduring the 1st half of 2008. Devices based on the Series 40 platformaccounted for a large portion of the more than 437-million devicesNokia estimates it had cumulatively shipped by the end of 2007.
