Kuala Lumpur: Seorang Ketua Polis Daerah ditahan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah (SPRM) Pahang kerana disyaki menerima rasuah dianggarkan lebih RM1 juta sejak 2017 hingga 2022.
SPRM dalam kenyataan berkata, pegawai kanan polis berusia 53 tahun disyaki menerima rasuah bagi melindungi aktiviti pusat hiburan dan pusat urut di sekitar daerah kawalannya.

"Bayaran rasuah ini disyaki bagi melindungi pusat hiburan dan pusat urut yang tidak berlesen daripada sebarang tindakan dan gangguan pihak berkuasa," katanya
Sementara itu, Pengarah SPRM Pahang, Hairuzam Amin ketika dihubungi mengesahkan tangkapan namun enggan mengulas lanjut.
"Siasatan dijalankan di bawah Seksyen 16 (a) Akta SPRM 2009," katanya. -CARI
