Baru tau rupanya SCPA ni akan put the cats to sleep jika dlm seminggu xde orang nak adopt..dahle scpa kenakan caj kan..pastu, yang nak adopt pun kena bayar..sebab tuh la orang rela amik dari kawan2 di forum atau perfinder jek...kejam la mereka..sedih dgr! napa dorg buat camtu ni?..
p/s: mod, boleh tolong betulkan kalau salah maklumat ni..? tq ya...kalau tak, apa kata kita share camne nak tlg spca atasi benda ni...

betul tu tediber... dari mana kalkeat dapat fakta tu. kalau boleh tolong sharekan maklumat tu.
yang akak tahu, mereka akan "put to sleep" hanya jika haiwan2 tu ada penyakit kronik dan tak boleh diselamatkan.
itu pun sebagai last resort. sebab SPCA ini NGO dan tak dapat pertolongan dari kerajaan.
hanya pertolongan dari donation orang ramai.
so their financial resources is limited. that's why they "have to" put to sleep SOME animals.

yang penting kita perlu educate pet owners to neuter their animals so as not to cause overpopulation.
when overpopulation occurs, sebab tu haiwan2 yang tak dikehendaki dibuang merata (termasuk di SPCA).

I brought in a pup/ kitten/ dog/ cat and SPCA told me it would be put to sleep. Why?

I surrendered my pet to SPCA today. Can you let me know before you put it to sleep?

bukan durang nak bunuh tp takde pilihan coz dah overcrowded shelter utk kucing2 ni.itu sebab klu blh kita adopt dari SPCA atau PAWS. byk kucing yg cantik2.ada budak forumer sini nama dia Euanna adopt kucing dari SPCA,bulu fluffy & kembang.cantik betul.warna oren. kdg2 org ingat kucing2 kat shelter ni suma tak lawa.sedangkan yg sebenarnya apa kucing pun suma cantik klu betul penjagaannya.

Jasmin & cik kacang,browse & chk betul2.byk kucing2 yg lawa2 kat KL/Selangor. SPCA & PAWS kat KL ni urgently nak bg kucing for adoption.sana byk kuicng comel2 yg dibuang org.cepat pergi coz durang punya expiry date hanya 2 minggu.klu takde org adopt,kena bunuh dgn put to sleep coz limited space.

ini hearsay je, kalkeat... kalau kita percaya semua yang orang tulis susah gak...
melainkan kalau ada bukti dalam polisi SPCA ataupun S.O.P SPCA put to sleep all the animals after one week.
kalau tengok bilangan haiwan yang masuk SPCA atau PAWS setiap hari lebih dari seribu ekor tapi yang diambil untuk adopt hanya 30 - 40 ekor je SEMINGGU.
so, we have to do the maths. kalau tempat kecil dan bilangan haiwan makin bertambah, makin banyak penyakit berjangkit.

sometimes mungkin kucing2 atau anjing2 yang di "put to sleep" awal tu ada penyakit yang boleh berjangkit.
so, dari ia merebak dan membunuh haiwan2 lain di dalam shelter tu, vet terpaksa put to sleep juga. but that's me assuming...
better "put to sleep" ONE diseased animal than sacrifice hundreds more...

   who are we to play God anyway...just my two cents...tpi kalau that is what u suggest as the reason for them killing the misfortunes, i beg to differ ever....kalau la dekat, leh sy g spca tu tnya..aduh...
tapi, mcm yg lain x kesah,

yes, we are not God to determine the life and death of the animals but if one animal can infect hundreds of other animals, what will your decision be? let the other animals die when you can stop it?
and who are we to judge the people at SPCA yang hari2 deal dengan orang buang haiwan?
they just dump these poor animals at SPCA and be rid of their own responsibilities as pet owners...
what do we say about that? everyday more than 1, 000 pets are dumped at SPCA just because they are old, not cute any more or "family issues" but the ones that got adopted are only 40 - 50 animals only A WEEK.
please do not judge others so quickly because sometimes they have to choose the lesser of two evils in order to help the bigger community...
i also do not agree "putting to sleep" these animals because they also have the right to live but then i do not deal with these issues and these poor creatures EVERYDAY when their owners dumped them at SPCA and let SPCA deal with the sickly cats/dogs...
we also have to remember that SPCA is operating on limited resources because they are an NGO and receive only donations from the public.
that's why i said the best thing we need to do is educate people to neuter their pets so there will be no overpopulation of unwanted animals.
people should also adopt these DSH cats from shelters rather than BUY pedigree cats when the cats at the shelters desperately need kind people to adopt them more than those "expensive" cats they sell at petshop (which in my opinion contributes to the overpopulation of animals).
