29 March 2011 – Maxis has announced today that the HTC Flyer would be the upcoming device to be reviewed by fellow bloggers under the Maxis10 Reviewers Programme.
HTC Flyer is the first tablet device from HTC that has been recently introduced during MWC 2011 on February 15. It will be running on Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) with the new HTC Sense that has been optimized for tablet. The 7-inch tablet comes with a 1024 x 600 resolution, 1.5GHz solo-core processor and 1GB of RAM.
HTC also introduces HTC Scribe, a technology that allow user to take notes, sign contracts or draw pictures using the provided capacitive stylus on the screen. Other features include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth3.0 and Micro USB port.
The HTC Flyer has a dimension of 195.4 x 122 x 13.2 mm and weighs 420g, which is thicker but smaller and lighter than the current Apple iPad 2. Unfortunately, Maxis has not disclosed any pricing details yet on the Flyer, but we shall let you immediately when it comes out.
