iphone 4 jail break from ios 4 to ios 5.1

hai...i new in here...i just want to share one story that need your advise.
i just bought 2nd iphone 4 with ios 4 and try to jailbreak to ios 5.1....after complete restore session i try open the iphone....its show

1. selected language
2. selected region
3. choose networks
*4. activation sim
the problem while try to active the sim card its show
"only compatible SIM card from a support carrier may be used to ative iphone. please insert the SIM card that come with your iphone or visit supported carrier's store to recieve a replacement card"

i go to u-mobile store they said might be this iphone is oversea phone.

what i need to do...
