The16th Miss Tourism International 2012 World Final

Malaysiawill once again play host to the 16th Miss Tourism International(MTI) 2012 World Final to be held on 31st December 2012 at SunwayResort Hotel and Spa.


A total of 56 countries aretaking part in this year world final making it the largest ever sincethe inauguration of the event in 1994.

Miss TourismInternational is a homegrown title initiated in 1994 by Datuk DannyOoi.Today, the Title is franchised to more than
80 Countries andthe MTI event had seen the participation of more than 500 MissTourism Delegates from around the world since the inaugural worldfinal held in Kuching, Sarawak.

The World Final of Miss Tourism International held in Malaysia is unique in a way as itis the only New Year’s Eve Pageant in the World. It is also aplatform to promote Tourism, Culture and Friendship through theevent.

On 20th December 2012, Miss TourismKyrgyzstan, Marina Kliug won the Miss Alexandre Christie personalitytitle in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.

Whileclad in pretty batik pieces from Karyaneka and Kraftangan MalaysiaContestants from  55Countries in Miss Tourism International 2012 World Finals showcased batik at Karyaneka.

Atthe event,  DatukDanny Ooi who initiated Miss Tourism International told the audienceat Karyaneka Media Nite that one more delegate from Romania had justarrived making the total contestants a record 56 countries this year.

TheWorld Final of Miss Tourism International held in Malaysia is uniquein a way as it is the only New Year’s Eve Pageant in the World. Itis also a platform to promote Tourism, Culture and Friendship throughthe event.  

Therewill be  a windfall for the Top 5 Winners as Limkokwing University of Creative Technology will be offering a Top Prize of RM100,000.00 Full Fee Scholarship to each of the individual Title Winners.

Inconjunction with this year Miss Tourism International World Final,the Main Organiser, D’Touch International will be crowning the Miss South East Asia 2012/2013 to be selected among the 6 ASEAN participating Countries.
