Whether God exist or not is IRRELEVANT, because whether you believe He exist or not is IRRELEVANT.
People who so serious about following a religion are often people who has no purpose in life to the point that the religion that they follow become their purpose in existence. Such people ARE USELESS.

Depend on what religion you are talking about.
Human made religion (traditions, dogmas) is different than God's religion (way of life, enlightment)

There is NO God's religion, STUPID.
There are only TWO type of religions :-
1. Belief system in form of a Political System.
AND
2. Belief System in form of Social System.
Political System here is same like Democracy, Socialism, Communism etc. It's purpose is to bind people to an unwritten laws where the people will surrender their will and freedom to a selected group in return for the rights to live in a community. Why unwritten laws? Because People will not interprete them as they choose if as little as possible had been written down or written in a confused manner. The main reason why Islam is shaky today is that many interprete Islam from violence point of view and perform actions based on this in attempt to escape existence. In another word, they choose to commit suicide by Islamic way. Judaism, Christianity and Islam follows these method.
Belief system in form of social system is a community-based system where People are bound together in form of common belief, tradition and culture. Individual actions are judged according to these factors and in many occassions, negative actions like violence and social demeanors are not welcomed here. Hinduism, Buddhism and many other smaller belief system follows these method.
I will emphasis again - THERE IS NO GOD'S RELIGION.
