DIY: Firmware Update For Nokia Phone

UPDATING
Pengguna model Nokia kini boleh meningkatkan firmware model masing secara atas talian

Langkah-langkah berikut boleh diikuti..

1. Download & Install
Nokia PC Suite
Nokia Software Updater

To install and run Nokia Software Updater application:

    * PC with 1GHz or higher Pentium-compatible processor
    * At least 256 MB of RAM (memory)
    * Windows 2000 (SP4 or later) or Windows XP (SP1 or SP2)
    * Administration rights on the PC while installing
    * Internet connection

2. Connect your phone to your PC via Nokia cable.

3. The Nokia Software Updater will guide you through the phone software update process.

Pengguna boleh menyemak status firmware terkini dengan memasukkan Product Code di;

DE-BRANDING
Pengguna juga boleh menukar produk kod pada telefon sekiranya tidak berpuas hati dengan produk kod sedia ada kerana ianya mempengaruhi firmware yang akan dipasangkan pada telefon. Walaubagaimanapun penukaran produk kod akan menyebabkan waranti terbatal. Biasanya pengguna akan menukar kembali kepada produk kod asal setelah selesai menaiktaraf model masing-masing.

Langkah menukar produk kod;

1. Download & Install Nemesis Service Suite

2. Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.

3. Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window

4. Click on the icon &#8220hone info”

5. Click on “Scan”

6. Change the product code and mark the case “Enable”.

7. Press “Write”, and your phone’s product code will be changed.

8. Close Nemesis Service Suite

N73 pun dah ader readt untuk updated..sapa ada masalah ngan N73 bole lah berbuat demikian.SEkian..

dulu aku ada buat ni, tapi aku pakai DiGi EDGE je la...
punya la tensen, bila dah about 85 % download firmware tu je, mesti putus..hampeh tol la....
2-3 kali aku try semua sama, putus at about 80- 90 % progress
Rasanya pakai EDGe tak seswai kot, pakai berukband ok kot....
Pendapat haku je le...

Aku update pakai pakai broadband, ambik masa 10 minit je. So far tak de masalah. Cuma aku tak puas hati, firmware baru N70 ni, henpon tak bleh nak restart klu pakai FExplorer. Henpon jadi bengong. Kena remove bateri baru ok...:geram:

no.. tak ada update with N73. aku dah cuba tapi jawabnya "There is no software update available for your phone".
Phone aku Nokia N73 (RM-133).

SonyEricsson lagi mudah update. No need a host pc. Direct pakai GPRS OTA pon boleh

Aku baru sahaja update N91 yg banyak problem ni.

size update: 42MB
download pakai: Digi Mobile Broadband
Tempoh: 20 minit
Result: takda masalah. Semua lancar. Handphone takda crash/memory problem. Memang tak rugi.

utk nak dapatkan bahasa melayu kene tuka product code fon tu gune software nss. then update. tuka product code ni akan void ur zitron warranty.

apa susah pegi kat nokia service center lah..mungkin bole updated free jer..lain lah macam ako ni yg AP set kena lah buat sendiri...
TP kalau setakat zitron pun dorang tak layan so takder makna lah beli yg original set macam zitron..baik beli AP set..kaka.mahal sesaja jer.

Aku tak try pula pakai Bluetooh atau infrared jika hp kau ada infrared, tapi most hp yg mahal memang takda infrared sbb infrared ni dah out of date,kini dah masuk zaman Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP.

nokia service centre akan update ikut product code fon tu je. dorang xleh tuka product code tu. mcm aku g tuka product code n73 jd n73 ME. xtahan tgk ME. kuang2

Janganlah lupa full backup dahulu kerana selepas update, handphone anda akan kosong.

aku dah call nokia.. dia kata firmware yg ada kat software installer tu sama je dgn yg ada kat service center..

memeng sama tp kalau ko tak confident buat sendiri baik pegi buat kat sana lagipun kalau hp ko zitron set ka dia layan lah..tpmacam ako ni AP set jer dorang tak layan pun kalau layan pun kena RM50 untuk update firmware.
