SAMSUNG GALAXY GRAND, a new 5-inch WVGA smartphone despite the name it comes with a slightly disappointing 800 x 480 screen resolution, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera that is able to record 1080p video and a 2-megapixel front camera.
The phone does come with Android 4.1.2 (Jellybean) and support for Samsung's Multi Window, that will allow you to run two apps on top of each other. Other built-in features include Direct Call, Popup Video, Smart Alert and S-Voice.
Other features include 8GB of internal memory, expandable to 64GB via a microSD memory card. It is powered by a 2100mAh battery. The Galaxy Grand comes with HSPA, WiFi, GPS, DLNA and Bluetooth 4.0 onboard.
The Galaxy Grand will be available both as a dual-SIM and a single-SIM device. Samsung has yet to reveal the pricing and availability yet, but the dual-SIM version suggests an Asian presence. Hopefully, we’ll see more of this device at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next month.
