the 335i is a 3.0 twin turbo inline six in euro and asian markets and a normally aspirated 3.5 for the US market.reason?? smog controls..the Americans will be pissed!!!
..and in case y'all are wondering,no its not a sequential setup but inline where 3 cylinders feeds into one tiny turbo to have the same throttle response as BMWs NA engines which is an essential character of all BMWs sporting engines.
i believe VANOS will be incorporated into the 335i in the same way Mitsubishi(MIVEC turbo) and Subaru(AVCS turbo) has done with their Evo and STi series.guess the Germans are learning a thing or two from the Japs huh???
looks are subjective so don't fire me on this..to me,the new coupe looks kinda girly,too feminine for my liking.honestly,i like the e90 sedan better.
no doubt,AC Schnitzer and Hamann and gang will make the car look terrific with their tuning enhancements but i just don't fancy girly looking cars..my hairdresser might like it though..
but having said that,i think the 335i will give veryone a good run for their money and have shifted the goalpost even further making life very difficult for Lexus,Merc,Audi and even Alfa...though Blitz just came out with their tuned Lexus IS350,400bhp of supercharged luxury V6 sedan..hehe

haha..pity the Americans..... they always produced big engined cars (4, 5 litres) but the amount of bhp produced can be considere as 'sissy'..... look at how the Japs churned out 220bhp or so of power from a 1.3 rotary engine in Mazda RX-8 & 280bhp from the 2.0 engine in an Evo...... anyway, i'm waiting for Top Gear's review of this car.... heck Jeremy Clarkson hates BMW....:geram: except for the M3 CSL if i'm not mistaken..... the floor of its boot is made of cardboard!  |

this is the latest gen IS series and they look fantastic!!! ada dua model actually..IS250(2.5 V6 making about 205bhp) and the IS350(3.5 V6 2GR-FSE making 300bhp).kalau nak tengok kat Naza PJ ada satu IS250. |

imagine the Blitz tuned IS with its titanium twin outlet exhaust,subtle aerodynamic lips all around,19" alloys and lowered stance..yum yum!!
that's why i say the 335i punye back end kurang sengat...girly.
tapi i think the 335i punye twin turbo will tapau the IS350 kalau both engine dah tune..kurang2 mesti 400bhp!!! syiok!!
