tapi kalau yang betul2 bercita nak dapat dream job korang aku nasihatkan korang spent masa untuk build up PR korang. masuk course ke yg ajar cam mana nak tingkatkan self confidence, lepas tu korang practice ler, how to sell yourself. practice, practice. ikut pengalaman ler . org yg interview kita biasenye akan tgk 2 perkara, experience and how confident are u. kalau takde esperience tp konpident diowang timbangkan gak, kalu kurang konpident but your experience is quite impressive, it is also an advantage...

i pn ada pngalaman gak pasal keje2  ni..i grad sept last yr..tp lps abih praktikal mmg trus2an anta resume kt company2 tru email ngan pos.ada la lbh kurng 30 kot..utk pengetahuan,pointer time grad takde hebat pon below 2.5 je..
company skang tak prefer sgt pasal pointer tp more to ability time intvw..ada la 3-4 intervw, at last dpt gak keje ngan gj 1.8k..takde la menganggur..smbl2 tu apply gak keje gomen.alhamdullillah, lps intvw ngan spa, dapat la pulok
satu kesilapan bsr org melayu ni ialah terlalu bharap keje kerajaan...kalo nk tggu keje kerajaan mmg smpai bl pn tak keje..mcm sedara2 i, sume pk cm tu gak..sbnr nye byk compny kt luar tu yg nk pekerja cuma kiter je yg tak tau..so kena berusaha la..
jgn hrp bila kiter da anto 1,2 resume tu then tggu yg tu je...

ha ha ha....mak aku pun sama dulu, asyik lah suruh ambik cikgu, aku tetap berkeras tak nak.bukan nak lawan cakap mak, tapi aku ada visi aku sendiri. biarlah hanya org yg betul2 minat jadi cikgu apply jadi cikgu. tak payah tipu diri sendiri.

Kursus seimbang dapat atasi masalah siswazah menganggur

KUALA LUMPUR 24 Mac - Persatuan Kebangsaan Pelajar Islam Malaysia (PKPIM) menyeru Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi supaya menyelaraskan kursus yang ditawarkan di institusi pengajian tinggi awam (IPTA) dalam usaha mengatasi masalah pengangguran di kalangan siswazah.

Presiden PKPIM, Mohd. Hilmi Ramli berkata, kursus-kursus yang ditawarkan perlulah menitikberatkan unsur-unsur falsafah, sastera, kesenian dan bahasa.

Beliau berkata, pendekatan tersebut merupakan faktor penyeimbang kepada mahasiswa supaya mereka menjadi manusia yang bukan sekadar 'ejen industri' tetapi juga ejen sosiol dalam masyarakat.

''Kementerian juga perlu memantapkan program pembangunan sahsiah dan keterampilan di kalangan mahasiswa,'' katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Beliau mengulas kenyataan Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin yang mahu memastikan kursus yang ditawarkan di IPTA menepati pasaran kerja.

Katanya, beliau melihat usaha tersebut sebagai niat yang murni namun tindakan menukar semua kursus supaya menepati pasaran kerja bukanlah satu keputusan yang tepat.

more than 50% kursus yang diambil kat University tak ada kena mengena
dengan kerja yang dilakukan.. except yang mengikuti kursus2 perguruan..
such as tesl -- boleh juga adaptkan apa yang dipelajari ke sekolah2 -
tapi kalau yang ambil kursus actuarial la, or even some engineering courses pun -
tak ada yang kerja dengan courses yang depa ambil kat universiti tu...

pengangguran terjadi bila mereka graduated aje.. depa tak tahu apa nak buat -
nak kerja - apa saje.. sebab bidang tu mungkin dah penuh or depa tak ada experience
lagi..etc etc...  banyak faktor2 lain gak... saya nak elaborate - nantilah tunggu petang
sikit... but hopefully ada forum members yang boleh tambahkan ideas tentang ini -

rasa macam jammed aje nak tulis ni.. ishhhhh  gs - haha.. -

IMO, rasanya first thing, you have to make your resume standout. Kalau boleh kena jaga ejaan, grammar, dan bubuh keywords. Tu paling penting. Sebab kata la post resume dekat Jobstreet ke, JobsDB ke untuk sesuatu jawatan, the search engine will look for resumes yg ader keywords2 for that particular job. Lepas tu dia bagi kat dia punya client (in this case the employer). Lepas tu baru diaorg panggil interview. Sama jugak macam kalau hantar terus dekat company. Dari berpuluh2 resume tu mesti dia panggil yg dia rasa sesuai dengan apa yg dia nak.

Bila dah dipanggil interview, prepare la sikit. PREPARATION is the key. Do your homework. Research pasal company tu, research sikit pasal jawatan yg diminta, lepas tu kena la confident sikit. Try to brush up your communication skill. To fresh graduate, tak semestinya kalau you all takder experience tak boleh kerja. Biasanya company2 ni dah tau you ni fresh graduate ke tak bila dia panggil interview tu (dia dah tengok kan resume). Kalau diaorg panggil interview tu maksudnya dia nak tengok boleh tak the candidate ni fit with the company, fit with the job that they will give, senang tak nak di-train untuk kerja tu. Kalau dia nak betul2 yg expert dah lama dia tak panggil fresh graduate.

Lepas tu kalau sesaper yg grad dengan technical skills, cth advertising ke, database ke, computer science ke, try bawak portfolio. Sambil2 duduk kat rumah tu buat la portfolio. Walaupun dia org tak mintak, tapi tunjukkan yang you all prepare utk jawatan tu dan bersungguh2 nak mintak kerja tu. At the same time you make yourself standout. Macam2 lagi la I rasa boleh usaha untuk dapat kerja tu. I rasa nak kata tak der kerja langsung tu tak la kot, cuma it's very competitive. Whether you are willing to go for it atau sampai bila2 pun duduk di takuk yg sama.

Harsh reality

Employers expect certain things of job applicants. But employees, especially fresh graduates, may have their own ideas.

FOLLOWING the Chinese proverb that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, a fresh graduate's first job can be likened to the start of an interesting adventure.

However, the adventure doesn't always start right after getting a degree for some, as they may have difficulty securing employment.

For others, their job may not turn out the way they expect it to be and they end up having to adjust their lofty ambitions to the more prosaic routines of the workplace.

Employers attribute these hiccups to the fact that fresh graduates expect a lot from companies nowadays and those expectations are sometimes unrealistic.

Differentiating wants

While all men may have certain basic wants, everyone has a different idea of what the pursuit of happiness really is and his/her career choice reflects this.

Take Daren Yoong, 24, an associate finance manager working in Singapore for an American global corporation that manufactures consumer goods.

graduan UTM bagus...kawan2 aku ramai gile dpt keja dah..course chemical engineering...nasib baik aku dpt gak..baru dpt kelmarin..offshore basic 3k...syukur sgt sgt sgt...26 april nih last final exam aku..kena stat 1 may..korg ada kontek kt kemaman x?..aku nak umah sewa..

Many Local Grads Jobless Because They Lack Creativity
One of the reasons why many local graduates are unemployed is because they lack creativity, said the Malaysian Association of Creativity and Innovation (Macri).

Its president Datuk Ghazi Sheikh Ramli said the creativity of Malaysians was stifled by the education system and the perceived need to follow societal norms.

揙ur society generally puts too many barriers and constraints on children. Children need space to grow, and when this space is not given, it slowly kills their natural inborn creativity.

揥hen you see local university products (innovations), you are not surprised. Their (students) brains are not ready (for the workforce) and all the ideas are the same

dulu depa kata kerajaan PAS kelantan tak pandai tadbir negeri.. sebab tu ramai pi kerja luar kelantan

xde kaitan auku ke x auku ke.it's all depends on the students themselves.antara nak dgn x nak memajukan diri sendiri.

kalau batasan terhad,if he's creative enough boleh je cari peluang.

yup..aku setuju byk je kerja kat malaysia..antara keje tuh gaji besar or gaji kecik.kalau dh diri x cukup berdaya saing,berckp pun x reti,x boleh nk bg reasoning,x de problem solving skills, ade ke org nak hire?

lepas tuh dh x de daya saing or perasaan nak majukan diri,dpt lah keje cikai2 je..pastuh nak salahkan org lain..

mmg bab kerja ni rezeki tp tuhan x kan ubah nasib satu kaum kalau kaum tu x nak ubah nasib die sendiri.kalau dh x marketable,make urself marketable lah..brush up ur  knowledge,polish up ur skills..

satu lg graduan2 ni mcm memilih keje..contoh la budak engineering kan,result x seberape,berckp pun x pandai tp nak aim oil and gas company yg besar2..baguslah ade keyakinan diri kan..utk cube tp bile x dpt,salahkan x d peluang kerja..kerja dgn government pun boleh je carik makan (bukan la aku rendahkan gomen sbb amik budak2 reject ye,no tidak sama sekali.aku bg contoh je) tp x nak..x glamour..org x kenal..

itu la perangai budak skarang that u hv to admit.

kalau org tuh bagus,campak lah ke mana,ke oil and gas,ke government,ke company kecik but if he's good,he's good.ttp menjadi jugak.
