Two nights ago, Ming Dao, Jason Hsu MengZhe, and Chen QiaoEn celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival (more commonly referred to as the Moon Festival) in advance with their fans. Ming Dao revealed that he will be transferring this semester to Jing Wen Technical Institute, where he will major in English. This will mark the eighth year of his career as a college student. From what we understand, although Ming Dao has already rejected the role in "Dao Jian Xiao," there is a high possibility that he will star in the idol drama "Huang Hou Zhen" instead.
New Moon Festival Activities: Change to GuanDong Food
The three actors admired the full moon with a few lucky fans two nights ago. They were drawn from a pool of fans who had purchased the Ying Ye 3+1 OST. One thing was a little awkward, though-- they had originally planned to enjoy barbecue with the fans, but, upon learning that barbecues are quite harmful for the environment and contribute to global warming, they canceled their plans at the last minute and enjoyed GuanDong food isntead. They played "Da Lao Er" while watching the moon.
(Translator's Note: Environmentalism is "in fashion" right now in Taiwan; in fact, they-- as a whole, not just these actors-- are officially "giving up" barbecuing this year. Edit: "Da Lao Er" is a card game called Big Two. A big thanks to minivicki for this information!)
Actually, all three seemed to think it was a pity that they had to abandon barbecuing. Jason Hsu MengZhe laughed and suggested that, in the future, they could have sizzling hot platters (鐵板燒 tie ban shao) during the Moon Festival instead. Ming Dao reminisced, "I remember when I used to sell vegetables in the market... each vendor would barbecue and see to business at the same time... this feeling was actually pretty nice. Starting from this year, though, we won't be able to see that any more."
The youngest fan there was a little girl of just two and a half years! Upon seeing her, Ming Dao immediately fought to hold her; unfortunately, this induced the little girl to cry. By the end of the night, though, the little girl seemed to have fallen for Jason Hsu MengZhe, even insisting on going home with him!
(Translator's Note: The Chinese word used for "insisting" implies that she kicked up quite a fuss about it.)
Ming Dao in College; Approaches Eighth Year
Ming Dao also revealed that he has already transferred to the English department at Jing Wen Technical Institute; he has enrolled as a part-time student. Last year, he had transferred to Hong Guang Technical Institute, but, since it is located in TaiChung, he found it to be too far away. This is why he has transferred yet again; Ive Lai WeiRu (of 7Flowers) and Arron Yan YaLun (of Fahrenheit) are his rumored classmates (same major).
After Ming Dao turned down the role in "Dao Jian Xiao," his fans were anxious about his next project, despite Ming Dao's wish to take a two-month break to spend time with his mother during her rehab period. It seems, however, that his wish may not come true... Our sources say that the upcoming "Huang Hou Zhen," which will be produced by Ke YiQin, has already contacted him. Ming Dao's projected co-stars include Dylan Kuo PinChao and Ady An YiXuan.
