aiseh, baru perasan director utk sekuel kalini bukan Gary Ross (hunger games 2012) tp sebaliknya org lain iaitu Francis Lawrence (catching fire 2013) - dikenali sbg pengarah utk I AM LEGEND (2007) / CONSTANTINE (2005) - dan juga utk sekuel akan dtg - mocking jay part1&2 |

Fire ignites $308m global debut
24 November, 2013 | By Jeremy Kay
UPDATE: Lionsgate top brass reported on Sunday (November 24) that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stormed to an estimated $307.7m globally, earning $146.6m internationally and a November record $161.1m in North America. Gravity opened in China on a mighty $35.5m.
The worldwide result from 65 territories improved by 45% the $211.8m 2012 score set by The Hunger Games.
The North American tally not only swept aside the previous best November debut of $142.8m set in 2009 by Summit-Lionsgate’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon but registered the fourth biggest domestic opening weekend in history.
The international result delivered number one scores in virtually all of the 63 territories outside the US and Canada according to sources at the studio.
Catching Fire took $19.8m in the UK for a 250% gain on the original and $12.8m in Germany for a 300% increase. Australia generated $11.5m, Russia $10.8m for a 150% climb, Mexico $10.7m, Spain $5.6m, Brazil $3.8m rising to $13.6m after 10 days and Sweden $3.7m for a 250% increase.
The film grossed $3.3m in the Philippines, $3.2m in South Korea, $2.3m in Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway, $2.2m in Taiwan, $2.1m in Singapore, $1.8m in New Zealand, $1.6m in Thailand, $1.5m in Malaysia, $1.4m in Argentina, Austria, Hong Kong and Poland, $1.2m in Finland and Turkey and the UAE and $1.1m in Colombia and German-speaking Switzerland. |
