The navy called the move a "precautionary measure" in case those sightings confirm the location of the aircraft which disappeared on March 8 with 239 people on board.

"If a debris field is confirmed, The Navy's Towed Pinger Locator 25 will add a significant advantage in locating the missing Malaysian aircraft's black box," Commander William Marks, a spokesman for the US Seventh Fleet, said in an e-mailed statement.

The locator system relies on acoustic signals to help find flight recorders – also known as black boxes – on downed navy and commercial aircraft to a maximum depth of 6,000 metres, he added.

However, the statement cautioned that the deployment did not mean the missing jet's location had been confirmed.

"Please note that movement of the Towed Pinger Locator into the region is not an indication that we have confirmed a debris field," it said.

"It's a precautionary measure so that if we do find debris, we'll be ready to deploy the equipment to listen for the black box."

Today, a Chinese military plane set off from the western Australian city of Perth at first light to search for "suspicious debris" floating in the remote waters and captured by Chinese and Australian satellite imagery, China's state news agency Xinhua said.

The sighting of a wooden pallet and other debris that may be linked to the Malaysian passenger jet gave the sense yesterday that the hunt was finally on the right track after more than two weeks of false leads and dead ends.

It was reinforced by new French satellite data indicating floating objects in the southern search area.

Australian officials said the pallet, along with belts or straps, was spotted Saturday in a remote stretch of the Indian Ocean that has become the focus of the search – around 2,500 kilometres southwest of Perth. – AFP, March 24, 2014.

Ini namanya RAT - ram air turbine. Mcm kincir angin la. Fungsi utk generate tenaga eletric kalau semua sumber tenaga lain rosak. Dua engine - 2 generator. Kat ekor ada APU - auxiliary power unit - 3rd generator. 4th generator is this RAT. Last resort - battery. So byk back-up. Total electrical failure hampir mustahil berlaku.

The attack was probably part of the Soviet preparations for the full-scale occupation of Estonia, which took place two days after the Kaleva incident, on 16 June 1940. The occupation was preceded for several days by a Soviet air and naval blockade, which included preventing diplomatic mail from being sent abroad from Estonia. The passengers on the last flight of Kaleva included two German businessmen, two French embassy couriers, one Swede, an American courier, and an Estonian woman. The French couriers had over 120 kilograms of diplomatic mail in the plane. The American courier was reportedly transporting the U.S. military codes to safety from Estonia.[2][3]
The plane was piloted by Captain Bo von Willebrand, and Tauno Launis was the wireless operator. The American victim was Henry W. Antheil, Jr., younger brother of noted composer George Antheil. Antheil worked as a clerk at the U.S. Legation in Helsinki. In 2007, he was honored for his service in a ceremony at the U.S. Department of State. His name was inscribed on the U.S. Department of State's Wall of Honor.[4]
The Government of Finland did not send any complaints or questions to the Soviets out of fear of hostile Soviet response, and the true reason for the crash was hidden from the public. masalah MAS adalah union pekerja mereka yg bimbo dan hadap.

sebab itu orang cakap ramai oekerja2 MAS ini yg freeloaders jah, pekerja yg redundant dan tak perlu ramai ujud dalam MAS.
