Liverpool shared a point with Wigan in a drab 0-0 draw after Charlie Adam's missed penalty.

Pepe Reina - 5
Uninspirational and made his backline nervous. Uncharacteristically rushed out for balls, punched when it could have been saved and generally a reminder of Bruce Grobbelaar.
Daniel Agger - 6
Won almost all headers he contested for at either end of the field and a good cover for the defensive line. 2 1/2 years since scored goal.
Martin Skrtel - 5.5
Risky play and awkward headers were abundant. Typified his play when he bullied McCarthy to the ground in the 36th minute.
José Enrique - 6
A classy player on the left, nullyfying Ronnie Stam and providing good overlaps; when he finds himself faster than another player.
Glen Johnson - 6
Made good interceptions as well as yet another maurading run and a shot on goal. Senseless yellow card for his reckless challenge questions his patience.
Charlie Adam - 6
Tidied up all of Liverpool's play and was the game's most hardworking player however lacked the skills to convert his set-pieces, especially the game-changing penalty kick; which was missed.
Jordan Henderson - 6.5 Liverpool's link man, any ball in and out of defence went through him however nothing stellar about this performance.
Maxi Rodríguez (Off 71') - 5.5
The archetype of a flair player, won balls and set up shots but operated mainly when attacking.
Stewart Downing - 6.5
Laying the groundwork with excellent off the ball running without actual on the ball play.
Dirk Kuyt (Off 71') - 7
Always the team work horse but lacking the technical edge to actually score. Kept the team running but nowhere close to scoring.
Luis Suárez (Off 86') - 4
Played like a dead man walking, on the ground mostly but managed to frustrate defenders; when he wasn't frustrated at their overtly physical challenges.

Didn't make any impact other than thugging out with frustrated players.

Immature play, attempted to win balls but was a bystander.

Ali Al Habsi - 8
A man of the match performance working hard with save after save. Inspired his team from the posts, inspiring their second wind after saving a Charlie Adam penalty.
Gary Caldwell - 6
Remained mostly in the background, commanded his defence well enough to withstand early preassure from Liverpool. Conceded a harsh penalty for a handball.
Maynor Figueroa - 6
Acted as the link man for Wigan, made the midfield players aware of his presence with a bustling display of strength.
Antolín Alcaraz - 6
Typical South American player, gets down and dirty when needed putting his body on the line but gave away too many fouls.
James McCarthy - 3
Horrible defensive mistakes compromised the team; letting Glen Johnson ghost past him and gifting the ball away after his team retains possession.
Mohamed Diame - 7
A strong presence in Wigan, spreading play from constantly winning possession, urging his team on by example.
David Jones (Off 72') - 6
Other than contributions through corner kicks, a poor player to have on the team letting the opposition run past, nervous play, even gifting the ball away through a badly taken throw in. Attempted to dribbel past Skrtel only to be bullied down to the ground.
Ronnie Stam - 6.5
When not being contained by Luis Enrique, gave good crosses and made important interceptions.
Conor Sammon (Off 60') - 5.5
A constant physical presence winning headers in midfield as well as at either end of the field. Wigan's most hardworking player, and the slowest.
Jordi Gómez (Off 72') - 6.5
His chip over the Liverpool defence in the 43rd minit typified his style. Long range strikes and good passes overturned by lazy off the ball movement.
Victor Moses - 7.5
One of the best attacking players for Wigan, a menace to Liverpool defence, almost toying with defenders.

Franco di Santo (On 60') - 6
Technical skills gave him immediate impact to the game holding up play and winning possesion.
Ben Watson (On 72') - 6
Contributed with corner kicks and won balls as easily as he lost them.
