i mean, why do we need 5 types of fighters instead of one?we're not some rich cash laden country to be able to afford different types for different roles..
its just ridiculous..and this is before we get the the actual number of planes that are serviceable at any one time
one thing for sure,i'm not feeling so secure as far as oue orbat and seviceablity is concerned
Interestingly our pilots flies various Russian, American and British make and models combat aircrafts..make us kind of unique air force..not zoo-like but unique ..my q is whether this is good or bad thingy
i guess there are two sides of the coin but mostly bad la i think..logistics,aircraft serviceability, uniformity in procedures and ops etc etc..well the list goes on and on.
i'd rather see a single multirole type in the inventory..maybe two at the most,M-Mrca and H-MRCA.no more 'rojak' pleazzzzeeeee
with lessons learned from operating the MiGs, RMAF shud already put in place the ILS, MROs and spares infrastructure to suport the SU30mkm operations..no use having gee-whizz jets but being hangar queens all the time..
Mungkin nak make sure the sukhoi customers didnt source their parts and services elsewhere..from the indians or chinese maybe..China already manufacturing su30 clones (the J11) for sure they can produce the parts too..similar to Indian HALs that may have the capabilities too..
