GEORGE TOWN (Sept 27): The investigation of Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan who was killed in a fire in his house last June, is expected to be finalised in the near future.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said they had recorded evidence from many witnesses including Nazrin's widow and family members and would complete the investigation papers.
“Many people were arrested, the widow and her ex-husband, stepchild and sister-in-law and her husband but have been released after being investigated.
“Hence, I would like to inform that we will complete the case soon,” he told the press after officiating the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Innovation Day 2018 celebration at Universiti Sains Malaysia here today.
On Aug 3, Nazrin's death was reclassified as a murder case under Section 302 of the Penal Code following an investigation by the fire department that found traces of gasoline at the scene.
He died in a fire at his home in Mutiara Homes, in Petaling Jaya, on June 14.

Kubur CEO Cradle Fund digali semula...

MAHKAMAH Majistret Petaling Jaya memberi kebenaran kepada polis, hari ini, untuk menggali semula kubur Allahyarham Nazrin Hassan yang meninggal dunia dalam kebakaran di rumahnya di Mutiara Damansara, Jun lalu.
Difahamkan, permohonan itu dibuat untuk mendapatkan mayat Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd bagi menjalankan bedah siasat kali kedua.
Permohonan itu dibuat pegawai penyiasat kes di dalam kamar Majistret Nor Ariffin Hisham.
Menurut sumber, proses menggali semua kubur itu akan dibuat pada Rabu ini.
Terdahulu, beberapa ahli keluarga Nazrin tiba di Kompleks Mahkamah Petaling Jaya jam 9.40 pagi sebelum keluar kira-kira 40 minit kemudian.
Pada 4 September lalu, isteri Allahyarham dan bekas suaminya, masing-masing berusia 43 tahun ditahan reman tujuh hari bagi membantu siasatan kes itu.
Turut ditahan reman, anak tiri Nazrin berusia 14 dan 16 tahun pada 9 September lalu.
Selain itu, pada 24 September lalu, sepasang suami isteri yang juga adik ipar kepada Nazrin pula direman empat hari.
Bagaimanapun, kesemua suspek dibebaskan selepas tamat reman.

Does this means polis still tak cukup bukti? The post mortem first time tu tak buat properly? This is so intense!! Tak boleh bayangkan perasaan family arwah. Mesti sedih tapi at the same time kena hadapi all of these demi justice.
Family samirah pulak sure tgh kelam kabut now, berkecamuk, hope tiap2 malam dpt nightmare tak leh tido. |

Nazrin’s brother wants second autopsy, police say
Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat also confirmed Malay Mail’s earlier report that the exhumation will be carried out on October 8 instead of October 3.
“On September 24, 2018, police received a police report by the older brother of the deceased, who was dissatisfied with the post-mortem report issued by the Hospital Kuala Lumpur pathologist,” he said in a statement.
Fadzil said police subsequently discussed with the state prosecution director and applied to dig up the grave under Section 336 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
“An application was made at the Magistrate’s Court in Petaling Jaya before Nor Arifin Hisham on September 28 and the court issued an exhumation order for a second post-mortem that will be conducted on October 8,” he said.
It was reported earlier today Nazrin’s relatives were seen arriving at the Petaling Jaya Court Complex about 9.40am, and exiting after 40 minutes after the application was approved.
Nazrin, 45, died in a fire that broke out at his two-storey house in Mutiara Damansara on June 14.
Police reclassified Nazrin’s death as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code on August 3, following a forensic investigation report by the Fire and Rescue Department, which cited suspected foul play.
Traces of petrol were found in the deceased’s room following a laboratory report by the department.
Initially, it was stated that Nazrin died from injuries sustained when his mobile phone exploded.
His widow Samirah Muzaffar and her first husband Nizam Mydin were arrested early last month, as were their two sons aged 16 and 14.
In their latest arrests on September 23, police picked up Nazrin’s sister-in-law and her husband.
Both have since been released, bringing up the total number of arrest to six people throughout the murder probe.

Sebab post mortem report yang pertama ittew noks keluar sebelum report bomba keluar. Report Bomba keluar lepas arwah dah di semadikan. First post mortem ittew led arwah death to be classified as sudden death. Tapi lepas report bomba keluar and confirm kebakaran disebabkan petrol, maka second post mortem needed untuk disqualified yang pertama tadi. Gittew procedurenya setau iols. Yang second report innih akan lebih detail pastinya untuk tallykan cause of death tadi tu in which murder. Bila maklumat semua dah tally, post mortem semua lengkap, senang pendakwaraya nak buat keroje. Harapnya pembunuh tidak terlepas. Kesian keluarga arwah dan anak anak kandhng arwah. |

kalau tak silap I la, application utk exhumation mesti dibuat oleh waris..maksudnya,polis will inform the waris mengenai update terkini siasatan and application tu mesti dapat persetujuan waris(so bunyi mcm application dibuat oleh waris).tak boleh sesuka hati nak gali kalau waris tak izinkan..and since widow dia terlibat dlm siasatan,waris lain ie the brother boleh consent..sebab kalau pikir logik,takkan semudah tu waris nak bagi izin utk gali semula even if case tu adalah death inquest sekalipun.wow,kes ni menarik..I yg tak berapa nk follow pun berminat..mcm drama bersiri genre crime sgt..
