Even though SBS ongoing drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ has not been faringwell in terms of viewership as compared to KBS ‘IRIS’ aired at the sametimeslot, the drama is a big hit online.
After every episode aired, the cast of the drama will go up to thetop ranks on various portal site search engines. Fans and drama maniaare also in hot discussions over the drama noticeboards.
The individual scenes of the A.N.JELL members singing in the dramahas also been the topic amongst netizens. And currently the photosketch released on the drama homepage have attracted over 10,000 viewson the day it was revealed on the site.
A SBS staff said, “Of the 3 major dramas by SBS, ‘You’re Beautiful’ homepage has the highest views of the 3 dramas.”
Fans are also very interested in the behind-the-scene photos and also a UCC corner set up on the site.
Apart from that, the drama and the characters in the drama have beenup on the top 10 drama search on various portal sites since it wasfirst aired.
It can been seen that even though the drama do not fare well interms of viewership, it has become a hot issue amongst netizens online.And the fever for the drama is said to continue even after it has ended.
Meanwhile, a special phenomenon has happened on 11.11.2009 when theviewership for 11th episode is 11%. The number 11 has appeared for 4times.
Q: So do you find yourself real popular now?
Yonghwa: When I go dining outside, students in the restaurants do recognize me. But the older people around don’t know me.
Q: How is the Yonghwa in real life different from Shinwoo?
Yonghwa: Kang Shinwoo is a very matured and caring man. I actually is a naughty boy. I like joking around.
Q: What do you think about the nicks given to you by fans?
Yonghwa: Since Shinwoo is such a good character, they called me ‘towel guy’, I feel great about that.
Q: Which part of your face do you think looks best?
Yonghwa’ve got single eyelids but my eyes are quite big so I think they lookgood. (laughs, he’s kind of embarrassed saying that)
Q: What roles do you wanna try next?
Yonghwa: If possible, I’d like to try playing a bad guy. (the part he straightened up the collar and made a face ^^)
