meollss tengah fikir ni camne nak jaga anak meolls sbab 1-12 ni mak nak gi umrah smpai 14-12..da la anak tu ngan orang lain xnak manjang nangis je..even meollss awal bulan ri tu amik cuti seminggu dok uma mertua pun xleh berpisah kejap ngan meollss..meollss baru msuk toilet pun sanggup si anak ni nangis2 ketuk2 pintu toilet sbab xnampak muka meollss..

alahai si manja sorang ni..pening kepala mak da ni..haishhh

3. experiencing unbearable pain
4. having no reason to live
5. killing themselves

dont take it lightly. they are reaching out for help so dont ignore these warning signs

Depression bakal jadi pembunuh kedua utama dalam kalangan anak muda menjelang 2020.
Terlalu serius sehingga tema kesihatan mental sedunia WHO tahun ini,"Generasi Muda & Kesihatan Mental Dalam Arus Perubahan Dunia." Soalnya, kenapa anak muda paling terkesan?

Ini ialah thread.


1. Fasa perubahan
Daripada sekolah ke universiti, pastu masuk alam kerja pulak. Perubahan fasa yang banyak dalam masa singkat, tambah pula tekanan dan expectation oleh ibu bapa, Ramai yang memilih untuk bottled up dan sampai memudaratkan.

They don't know who to talk about it. Bottling up your struggle and just keeping it to yourself is an unhealthy way of coping with it.


Bagitau mak ayah, "Tak cukup lagi ke kami buat untuk awak?"

Bagitau kawan, "Orang kat Palestin tu lagi teruk tau!"

End up, ramai memilih untuk diam dan menangis keseorangan.


Atas sebab ini, tema World Health Organisation waktu 2017 ialah Depression, dan kempen yang dijalankan ialah, #LetsTalkAboutIt..Nak menggalakkan individu yang berjuang dalam senyap supaya luahkan pada orang yang dipercayai.

Vent it out. It feels good, trust me.


2. Quarter Life Crisis

Pernah dengar Midlife Crisis kan? Bila seseorang tu umur 40-50 tahun, dan dia dah ada semua benda (keluarga, kerja stabil, kewangan, harta dll) sampai dia rasa,

"What's next?"

Sensng cerita, hidup yang havoc dan fast paced tiba-tiba rasa empty.


Quarter Life Crisis pulak,

Bila baru nak start kerja, lepas dah habis belajar universiti,

"Okay, what should I do?"

"Aku nak buat apa dengan hidup aku?"

"Cukup ke duit nak kahwin ni?"

When becoming an adult really strike them hard and they don't know what to do.


Plus with so much burden and life struggle such as,

"Duit nak kahwin."
"Bayar kereta."
"Beli rumah."
"Bayar PTPTN."
"Traffic jam."

And so much more stressful life routine, menyebabkan ramai yang ada Stress melampau ni 'upgrade' jadi Depress or Anxiety. You must have a good stress coping mechanism. Imagine our mind as a cup and stress is water. When your cup has reached its limit but water keep flowing in, what do you think will happen?. Stress coping mechanism is like knowing how to reduce the water in a healthy way. Bila kesan diri macam dah ada simptom kemurungan atau kegelisahan, cepat-cepat dapatkan bantuan sebelum melarat.
Mental disorder ni, once kita dah ada satu, probability untuk ada muncul lain tu lagi tinggi, kalau tak rawat cepat.


Pedulikan apa orang cakap. Fikir diri sendiri je..


3. Media Sosial

Kajian tunjukkan yang remaja yang aktif di FB, Insta, Twitter dll, lebih tinggi tendency untuk ada Depression dan Anxiety. Sejak smartphone diperkenalkan, kes mental disorder anak muda meningkat mendadak. Tapi ini correlation, bukan causation.


Why social media? Kau bayang ya,

- Buka Insta nampak makan mewah orang lain

- Buka FB nampak kebahagiaan hidup orang

- Buka Twitter nampak hubungan bahagia orang lain

Kita terus rasa inferior. Sedangkan itu hanya yang ditayang, bukan hidup sebenar,

"The Spotlight Effect"


Let's look from Narcissistic views,

"Tayang muka di Instagram untuk likes."

"Menagih RT dan shares."

"Populariti dianggap kejayaan mutlak."

This is a very dangerous way of looking into this world. Digital world is not a real world.


4. Kematangan Emosi

Kita kurang dibesarkan untuk ada emotional intelligence dan hanya acknowledge 'positive emotion'. Menangis dianggap lemah, Complain dianggap tak bersyukur, Hanya happy je dibenarkan dan diraikan. End up, kita nafikan emosi sedih tu as part of being human.


Society discriminate sadness and tears as it shows weakness. Because of this, many people don't know what to do with sadness, anxious, anger etc.
Padahal,

It's okay to be not okay,
It's okay to be sad,
It's part of being human.

What's not okay is when we refused to get help. Dalam "Psikosis" nanti (rancangan TV mengenai isu kesihatan mental di Malaysia), Patients/survivors yang ditemuramah untuk mental disorder dorang, majoriti ialah golongan muda. Belum keluar TV lagi.

Kesimpulannya, anak muda perlu berjaga-jaga dan bagus sebab ramai yang berfikiran terbuka mengenai kesihatan mental.

Ingat ya,

"Tak sempurna kesihatan seseorang, tanpa kesihatan mentalnya."

bila la batuk daku nak baik ni..dh bertahun mcmni..nk cuti cek pakar tp rasa takut sgt..takut nk hadapi yg aku ada penyakit kronik..

batuk yg on off..kejap ok pastu tak lama tu dtg balik batuk.. makan antibiotik dh mcm2..tp still sama... mmm xtau la kenapa mcmni..susah hati tp at the same time takut
